I wasn't a frequent poster before but glad to have found you all regardless! I'm Zoe, we bought our first home almost a year ago and have done very little D&R so I'm totally itching to get going.
First up, we need a dining room rug. I'm thinking of buying this indoor/outdoor rug from Joss & Main:
I've got my heart set on this one for our living room, which is right next to the dining area (open floorplan):
Do they clash completely? Look ok together? There will be some separation between the two areas with furniture placement, but the two rugs should still go together somewhat. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on the J&M rug since it's non-returnable but it's a great deal.
Sorry the images are so big, I'm still figuring out this new format.
I love the second rug, I've been considering getting that one for our family room. I should just order it and be done with it.
I think the 2 rugs will be fine together. The colors from the first one are also in the second one. They aren't vastly different in style, either. The first one is a bit more traditional, but not overly so, and the second one isn't too contemporary that it wouldn't work with the first one.

I think they'd be fine in separate rooms. I LOVE the round version of that rug on Joss & Main and so badly want to buy it for my living room however I don't think the polypropylene will feel that great under the feet
I like the original two you posted. The second one has gray in it and they are both on the graphic side so I think they will look good in adjoining rooms. The third one you posted looks like the print is much smaller (the picture looks like it's of a very big rug) so I'm not in love it with. The LR pattern is very bold and big so a small print in the DR might not look as good. Just my thoughts.
Thanks, this was the reassurance I needed. I went ahead and ordered the gray rug, I'll post pics when it arrives! Next time the second one goes on sale I plan to get it too. Now just have to paint, replace ugly/poorly installed wainscoting, baseboards & crown and the dining area will be done
