We will be going next month for my boys' 6th birthdays and staying at the hotel.
Is the only place with alcohol the Skyline Café?
Also, if anyone has been to the waterpark, should we bring our own towels? The website says they don't have any (only to buy in gift shop) but I'm wondering if we should try to walk around and dry off or pack some from home.

I've been to Legoland and I spent 8.5 years working right across the street from it so I know the area really well.
RE: alcohol. I don't remember seeing any when I was in the park but I also wasn't looking for it. It is a park geared towards children so that it probably why there is a lack of it. If you need to drink there are a few places nearby where you can grab a beer (Pizza Port in the village, Karl Strauss, etc)
Towels- I have never been to a water park that provides towels. It has always been BYOT. You have a few options- you can get extra towels from housekeeping and bring the ones from your hotel room, you can bring some from home or you can pop over to Costco and buy some nice beach towels. Costco is across the street at the corner of Palomar Airport Rd and Armada Dr.
alleinesein, Thanks for the reply! We are staying at the hotel for 3 days and won't have a car, so that's why I was asking. Pretty sure we will want some wine after being with 2 five year olds all day. Thanks!

We went back in Feb. and ate at the Karl Strauss Brewing Company which is really close by, maybe 5 minutes away. It has a nice outdoor area and decent food.
Are you flying in? I would just pack a few bottles of wine and some beach towels in their own suitcase (wrap the wine in the towels). It's worth the $25 checked back fee in my opinion .
I went to LEGOLAND about a year ago. We day tripped (we live in Socal) so I don't remember the logistics of alcohol and we didn't do the waterpark. I'm useless .

Hmmm...that's an idea! Solves 2 issues! Yes, we are flying. I did some more research and found that they have big body dryers so I think we may just risk it. They also said you can rent them from the hotel pool (since we are staying there) but I don't think I want to lug them around.
I also found that there is a lounge with a bar and big play area for kids. Really I'm mainly thinking about that 7-9 time slot between dinner and bed and I know we will want to relax. I probably should have specified in the title that I meant at the hotel. So basically, I did not exhaust all of my googling abilities before I posted. Definitely a theme park rookie here.

You can definitely order alcohol at the buffet also, and at the lounge near the play area. They generally had kids' entertainment going on in the early evening also, like a pirate leading a limbo contest/building contest, that sort of thing. I know they also had a dance party on Friday evening, plus a movie showing at the pool so there's plenty to do if you're at the hotel.
