I have been craving cold weather food for 2 weeks and its still 95 degrees here. Bleh.

My favorite to make is a potato/cheese/corn chowder thing I kind of hobbled together from a few different recipes, and then I like to have "toppings" people can add as they please. The base is potato, stock, heavy cream, corn, a little smoked Gouda and then bacon, cilantro, green onions and more cheese to add. I could eat it for days.

I love all soup, but I think my favorite is sausage and kale. It's just so warm and satisfying. DH is looking forward to me making lasagna again. It's an all day process I refuse to do in 80* heat.

I love fall so much! It's my favourite season.
I love to make anything apple - apple pie, apple cake, apple crisp, apple and oatmeal cookies...it's all so damn good!

As for savoury dishes, I love to cook in the slow cooker or make different types of stews with fresh rolls. MMmmmm....

The french onion soup lemondrop posted is really good. Brown the onions though and add gryeure (sp?) cheese!
