The way our park days have ended up is putting us at DHS on a Friday with EMH from 7-9pm. I was originally considering spending the whole day there but am now considering doing another park in the morning, going back to rest, and returning to DHS around 3-4pm. Neither of my kids know anything about Star Wars and nobody in in the group is into thrill rides. The only rides we will go on are TSMM (fast-pass), Movie Ride, and some of us on Star Tours (fast-pass for the few going). Shows we would like to see but wouldn't hate if we missed them: Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and Indiana Jones. Could we get most the park done in that time?
Is there a good place to eat dinner with a 4.5 and 1-year-old? Nothing stood out to me when looking, but I figured I would ask.
I think you can definitely do HS in half a day. I didn't get to ride TSM last time because I didn't get a FP but here is my write up from my trip in October 2014:
The park was CROWDED. Oddly we didn't have to wait too long for anything but we ditched the stroller most of the day in favor of carrying B in the hiking backpack.
As soon as we got there we did Muppets 3D movie. It was cute but the theatre seats were obnoxiously small.
Next we played in the Frozen Snowground. I thought B would hate it but he was enthralled.
We walked into the Frozen Sing-a-long which was fun but not something I'd wait for. Girls in the audience were a little pissed the princesses only really make cameos in it.
We used our Fastpasses for The Voyage of the Little Mermaid which had some cool effects but the truncated story didn't make much sense. B loved it.
Then we used Fastpasses for Disney Junior. I thought it was cute but DH was annoyed that despite sitting on the floor the kids weren't really able to wiggle. We were in the front row so it was hard to explain to B that he couldn't rush the stage.
Then we had a quick dinner at the Commissary before heading to Fantasmic. It was amazing. I'm very glad we started the park late in the day so that we weren't all dragging by 7:30.
I think that's probably enough time. I don't spend a full day there right now. I like 50s primetime for sit downs with kids but I don't know if I'd want to waste time at a sit down given the time you have. I'd either do that right at 3 or I'd do a counter service at some point.

We only did a half day on our last trip. The only thing we did not get in was Beauty and the Beast and that was partially just because of the show times (we were there in the morning).
I think my biggest concern would be the crowds. If there are extra evening hours it could be busier than normal as the day goes on. What time of year are you going?

We'll be there in November between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Crowd calendars seem to have the day between 3-5 overall.
Are you doing fantasmic? I think your plan is fine other than I wouldn't expect to see any/many shows.
I like 50s PT with those ages. Your older one would probably like the SciFi but it's hard with a little one.
I would like to do fantasmic, so that's why I'm thinking of getting their later. I know there's no way my kids would make it through that without a rest afternoon. I guess we could also go to DHS in the morning and come back in the evening again.
I'd do a full day. HS is probably our favorite park. My young kids loved all of the shows, star tours, histc playground, dis jr characters. we actually went back for a second day because we'd missed some stuff.
