Bring your own towels?

I read a tip that we should bring our own beach towels for pool time at the poly.  I can't really remember why, maybe towels are hard to come by or small? I went out and bought some and feel like that was a silly waste of expense.  Is it worth the suitcase space or are there great towels at the ready?
We are flying.

I would expect them to provide towels at the Poly however I do not know for sure. They had plenty of towels at BLT.

However now I am wondering if I need to bring towels when we stay at AoA.

I thought they were provided at all pools? We've never taken them and have never had an issue.

They probably meant bring them down from your room. The bath towels in the room are way larger than the towels they provide down at the pool. We stayed at the AoA last year June and they had towels at the pool, they were just thin and not very large. When we stayed at the Poly several years ago they also had pool towels. They just aren't big and fluffy. I would not waste luggage space to bring towels. Just request more bath towels to be brought to your room and bring those down if you want large thicker towels.

I've never had a problem finding pool towels at Disney pools.
