Just tell me what to do. I'm sorry. I'm so indecisive. I know there is no right answer but I keep searching for one. My 7m window to rent DVC opens today so I need to put in a request ASAP

Off site in a 3bed Windsor Hills Condo. When you had in the magic bands and parking the total would be $800. Tons of space, cheap, but a drive to MK where will be spending most days.

If we can secure a reservation, DVC options below. I've always wanted to stay on property.

Poly Studio- $1120, location, murphy bed for dd1, will put dd2 in 2nd bathroom

AKV 1 bedroom $1330, lots of room, far away

Boardwalk Studio $700, murphy bed for dd1, no separate area for dd2

Boardwalk 1 Bedroom $1400, lots of room, most expensive.

Eta... we decided on poly standard studio! Thanks for the thoughts and reassurance. And for the heck of it we added on a 6th night so we can have 5 full park days. Super excited!!! Now for dining to open up. Expect more annoying questions next month!

If you're spending most days at MK, then the Poly.

Boardwalk only has Garden view for studios left for trips starting on 1/15 so make sure you calculate the cost for that view.

@starry, yes the four of us and we will always take a midday break. Sometimes we wont even go back, but may go off property for a meal, etc.

Poly or AKL. AKL has their own bus and doesn't have to share with any other hotels. We just got back and the buses were not too bad at all.

However, Poly at that price is amazing.

My second choice, you don't list but a studio in the Beach Club. Boardwalk would be next.

Do all options include the car rental? If not that may make up the difference.

Staying off site is not worth saving $$. It's a big pain to drive, especially to MK where the parking lot is beyond the Seven Seas Lagoon.

AKV ( kidani) is the best if you have a car due to the garage parking underneath the resort. Drive to all the parks except MK.

Poly is awesome. For 300.00 more than off site I would do that.

We took DS 2 out of second grade for four days last winter to go to Disney.  I have a pretty close relationship with his teacher from volunteering in the room, and she flat-out told me not to worry about him missing a handful of days for a family trip at this age.

Yea I care zero about missing school when they're little. Dd1 missed 5 days of kinder and next year dd1 & dd2 will miss 5.5 days of 2nd & kinder.

I am considering taking DD out for a couple days in 5th grade for a trip so we can go at a time when it's not super crowded or incredibly hot. I wouldn't do it in Jr. High but I don't think a day or 2 at any elementary grade is a big deal. We have only taken her out for 1 day in K when family was visiting from out of town, but based on what I see on FB and hear from other parents, lots of people take their kids out for extra days.
