Tuesday randoms

I'm still ticked about being passed over on the management position. She said good things about me when she told me, but now I wonder if she was just pacifying me. My BIL told me I should put my resume out there now that it's up-to-date and see what happens. I just may do that because I see no other growth for me here, unfortunately.

The coworker who sits across from me is talking to herself and it is really annoying me today. Normally it doesn't bug me as much, but I think I'm just in a bad mood because of the job.

DDs' gymnastics showtime (recital) is tonight. They told me they don't want to do gymnastics anymore. I told them they have to do some kind of activity so they want to try swimming. I've got to check the YMCA and Michael Phelps' Swim School and see which is a better deal. Hopefully they're not crazy expensive.

How crummy sweetchix! I have zero motivation at work today. Going to the gym at lunch to do a workout in hopes it'll give me some energy for this afternoon.

Today I have a meeting with someone who just started a research firm about a possible job.

Other than that I'll be running errands and applying to jobs. It's been hella hot here and I'm trying to go outside as little as I can.

My day is going well. It's busy but at least the kids are being good.

So I've lost track of how many dates I've gone on with this guy. And I feel like I should know how many we have gone on. He is so patient with me and I like that so much.

I feel awful today. I think it's my sinuses: swollen lymph nodes, ears bothering me, mild sore throat, head feels floaty (too much fluid from drainage?), and exhausted x 100. I might ask to go home early.

I took over my work's Instagram account and I'm pretty proud of myself so far and we've gained new followers already. Yay!

Someone posted an adorable pillow cover from Ikea on ML and I want it, but Ikea isn't selling it online and I don't have an Ikea. Why do you tease me Ikea, why??

There's a store concept that allows you to "purchase" IKEA stuff from them that isn't sold online. What they do is carry some merchandise in store but allow you to look on a computer for a specific item and they take the item numbers down. Every 2-3 days they take a truck to an IKEA about 2 hrs away and pick up all these peoples orders. obviously you pay a mark up/service fee.


I swam at my pool Sunday and Monday. My small pox vax scar is super noticeable now because my arms are tanning. Gah.

I've seen a lot of the IKEA stuff on Amazon. It's a little pricier, though.
