Baby S is 5 weeks, 2 days. He has not been much of a sleeper since 2 weeks but he has slept a ton today. No fever, not fussing, just wants to snuggle and sleep. The only thing that really bothers me is he isn't eating as much. He likes to wake up and snack on the hour or two rather than 3 odd every two hours.
He's fine, right
Also I'm sorry if this is stupid. I just worry so much about him.
I agree with the others. Sounds like a growth spurt is on the horizon. My oldest used to sleep hard for a couple of days and then none of his clothes fit anymore...
Sounds like a growth spurt is on the way. Rest up while you can!
What happens?? Do they get fussy during growth spurts?
A little, plus eating a ton and sleeping. I usually wear them a lot during growth spurts, it seems to help. The sling was the only reason I got anything done this week, lol.
There are days where I feel like Owen isn't awake at all and barely eating, and then days like today where I left the house for two hours and he took two bottles while I was gone.

They definitely can be fussy/more sleepy during growth spurts. There are also growth spurts with "stormy" area- lack of sleep, no appetite, etc. If you haven't already, look up the Wonder Weeks. They have been spot on for both of my children, and tons of friends swear by them, too.
I hated it and just used the ball thingie from the hospital. Just FYI, hungryc. It's okay not to want to suck your kid's snot through a straw. It's okay.

My son wanted to do nothing but nurse, non stop. We would have these marathon nursing sessions that could hit at any time. He only got cranky if ya know, he couldn't nurse non stop. :-)
