Anyone been to Blizzcon? We're going this year after many years of trying and failing to get tickets. I'm super stoked. Curious if anyone has any recommendations. I've never stepped foot in CA so I'm looking for anything from great places to eat, must see's, etc. I know there are after parties - any good ones worth checking out? Silly question, for the non-cosplayers, how do people dress at these things? I feel kind of weird about it and unsure what to expect.
I've never been to Blizzcon, but based on my experiences with Emerald City Comic Con and PAX, I'd just wear jeans or shorts and one of my geekier t-shirts. Wear comfortable shoes, you'll probably be doing a lot of walking, and a lot of standing in line.

Thanks! I planned on wearing my WoW shirts but then I started overthinking it like it would be trying too hard. I'm sure in reality no one will care at all.
Yay Blizzcon!! I went last year and it was so fun although it would have been more fun if I hadn't been having morning sickness so we didn't live it up quite as much as usual. Feel free to wear a wow shirt, you'll probably be running into other people with the same shirt all day, lol. As far as food, the street in front of the convention center will be filled with food trucks on convention days and we liked that as a good way to enjoy some local food without going anywhere

Used to work right around the corner and played World of Warcraft with everybody from work. Was a really good time and well done. Plus they give out tons of free stuff and codes for all of their games which is worth it. You can always resell it online as they were always in high demand. Got a little pet murky murloc pet one year.
The hotels in the area are really cool, and there is a lot to do worth a go for sure ! If you are into the whole Blizzard gaming world thing
