Arrived at Disney this afternoon and spend the evening at Epcot. The ride was cute. The character effects are really good, especially Olaf. We had fast passes for 6:15-7:15, and got there around 6:30. Waited about 10 minutes in line. The standby line was 2.5 hours long, and they had water jugs set up for people. The whole Norway area wasn't too crowded, although the kiosk lines made it feel a little cramped. No crazy lines to Mexico!
I'm glad we did it with a fast pass, but I don't think I would choose it over Soarin' or even Test Track as my tier 1 option (we go back for a full Epcot day on Tuesday). And there is no way in hell I would do the standby line unless it was down to like 20-30 minutes, lol.
I have to make our FP plans soon. I think we will only have one day at Epcot, so the attack plan is to ride Soarin at rope drop, then go straight to Test Track. I will FP Nemo, Character Spot and Frozen at 9 am, 10 am and 11 am with 12:10 pm reservations at Akershus. The tiered FP system is so annoying.
I remember being in Epcot when the Maelstrom first opened....it has crazy lines too!

Just so you know, when I booked a couple weeks ago it seemed like the earliest time for Frozen was 11 am and those were all already gone for my date. I had to book a later FP than I really wanted.
we did our FPs yesterday... i got one for Frozen at noon on 9/1. there were still a decent number of times for the afternoon available when i was on yesterday morning. i'm excited- it looks like a pretty cool ride!
