Slightly random. Las Vegas question

So. I know that some people poke around here that are familiar with the Las Vegas area. My mentally unstable uncle has been kind of missing for a couple days. I guess he called a family member on Thursday to say that he'd checked himself into the hospital. Everyone thought he meant the VA hospital, but they say they don't have him and one of my cousins has called all the area hospitals he can think of and nobody says that they have him. Law enforcement supposedly went by his house to check on the welfare of his dogs but apparently didn't report back if uncle was even at the house taking care of them or not. My mom said she might drive out tomorrow to help search hospitals for him, but I'm thinking that if all the hospitals have been called then isn't that almost a bit of a waste of effort?

Does anybody know other than actual hospitals if there is some place in or around Las Vegas that might be a good starting point to search for someone who is extremely paranoid and maybe a bit schizophrenic too?

Is there maybe something else besides contacting law enforcement that our family should be doing?

Update: The VA says they might have a lead on him. We have to wait however long for them to get back to my cousin.

I'm just gonna list all the medical hospitals I know. When I get home, I can go through mental facilities too.

St rose (there are a ton of different locations, so look up the name and it should pull them all)

Harmony Healthcare (I'm not sure if this is inpatient or just outpatient though)
7 Hills Hospital

Westcare is another mental health facility that is not inpatient, but they might be able to help.

Thanks. I will make sure to forward these lists. I think they started with medical hospitals because what happened was he told one of my other uncles that he went to the hospital for really bad pain and was being transferred to a different facility but didn't know the name of either and that was the last anyone heard from him. So we don't know if he might have also had like a psychological crisis (not sure of the terminology) alongside the physical pain and maybe that got him sent elsewhere. My mom mentioned his psych meds but I didn't quite catch if she said that he had or had not been taking them.

I think everyone realizes now that having him move out of state from the rest of the family was never going to solve anything for longer than a few months and that at the end of the day it just makes watching out for him that much more difficult.

They finally located him. My mom spent some time on the phone with the VA after they told her that they "might" know where he was. I guess she talked an RN into telling her where they sent him. The RN was really nervous like he was going to get into trouble for telling her but they have the name of the treatment center now. It's sounds like it's a treatment center psychiatric stuff and I think she was actually able to find out how long they expect him to be there so that the family can coordinate care for his dogs.

I'm glad he was found. I hope they find somewhere for his dog. There's actually sites that help coordinate short term care for medical issues and I work with a rescue locally that deals mainly with pitts and hard to place dogs. I am only 4 hours away.
