How was everyone's weekend?
Ours was pretty good. We did a hike on Saturday and the Nisqually Basin walk thing on Sunday. I'm out of shape and my muscles are sore, but I'm glad we got out there.
I feel like a lot of things are slipping these days and it bothers me a lot. I'm working on keeping it together better. I'm going to need some help from my boys. I have taken on too much of the household stuff, and it's just too much with how much I've been working.
Tman has plantar warts on one of his feet. It's really sad. It started out as one, but he wouldn't leave it alone and they are highly contageous, so they have spread and spread. We have tried every OTC treatment and have been using apple cider vinegar, but nothing is really working. They don't seem to be spreading anymore, but they aren't going away. We took him to his ped a couple months ago and he used some super strong freezing stuff, but to no avail. I have him scheduled to see a podiatrist on Friday. I hope they can do something or recommend something that will help him. They didn't hurt at first, but now are starting to.
Oh dear The freezing stuff is liquid nitrogen. Hope they get that cleared up quickly!
Just got back from walking to Starbucks and didn't take a sip until we'd crossed the street and were halfway back...and they put full sugar in GTL instead of the single pump I asked for. She didn't even write it on the side of the cup correctly. I don't want to walk back and get it fixed but it's too damn sweet AND I'm calorie counting. GRUMBLE MONDAY GRUMBLE.
Astoria was nice, weather was so lovely that we ended up skipping the museums I had wanted to visit because we didn't want to be inside on such a nice day. Hung out at the local distillery sampling wares and bought several bottles. I didn't eat for weight loss and didn't count calories but tried to eat decently..and scale this morning is up 3 lbs from Thursday. I really hope it's just bloating or I'll be super pissed. We're both tired today, didn't sleep well over the weekend, got home too late due to car shenanigans on our way home that delayed us 3 extra hours! So trying to avoid GoT spoilers until we can watch tonight.

I don't remember 1st trimester being this exhausting but I'm dead on my feet 80 percent of the time. Going to go to sleep now because I work tonight, nothing too exciting in my life

georgeharrison, have you tried the at home freezing kit? We have it and it works really well and is super easy to use.
We had a good weekend, it was very low key. Looking forward to this week being over, especially tomorrow as I have a big presentation that still isn't finished. Ugh. At least it's sunny!
georgeharrison, poor tman. I used to get warts when I was a kid and the freezing didnt work for mine. They had to use acid on them instead I have one on my foot now though that that derm tried freezing and of course its still there. I was having luck on it with the apple cider vinegar, I'd soak a cotton ball and wrap it to the spots over night while I slept. I did it for about a week or 2 before I noticed it looked like it was starting to die (turning dark/black) so I stopped but should have kept going a little longer apparently because it is still there lol.
Not much exciting for me. H's dad and step mom are coming in tomorrow for an unknown amount of time which is stressing me a bit. I have a ton of stuff to get done today and more tomorrow but I don't even know when they are getting in tomorrow soooo, yeah. I should get back to working but the kids are making it difficult.
I have a skills lab this evening to prep us for our practicum over the summer. As much as I don't want to go near school I am glad to get a little refresher. I have come down with a cold so other than school I am just taking it easy. We ended up going Oregon wine country over the weekend, we were going to cancel due to crazy finances but forgot. Other than my cold we had a great time. It was good for us just to spend some time together without one of us being stressed.
I know I have been MIA, it has been a crazy few months. We had to go to Germany due to a death in the family, I was responsible for our programs graduation ceremony, one of our cars died and had to be replaced so we were down to 1 car for a few weeks, I was running 2 fundraisers and trying to help start an endowment, I ended up with some weird back problems that I will be doing an MRI for, all well working and finishing up classes for nursing school. I don't know how I made it through the last couple months without losing it, lol. All I wanted for my birthday last week was to not see anyone and not leave the house or change out of my pajamas, it was the best birthday ever, lol.
kwpnjumper55 - Congratulations!!! georgeharrison - My H had a period where he ended up with a TON of them. The only thing that worked was getting a yeast injection, cleared them right up.
This is my last week of maternity leave. I'm already crying daily. I don't feel ready at all. I'm not recharged. I've had to work every day. Even if just for a couple hours. I hate it. Thank god J is such a good sleeper.
tacocat, mad props to you for making it through all that! How did everything go with the germany trip and getting things squared away?
Thank you! We got as much done as we could. There were some really awkward moments and the lawyer spoke no English and we don't speak enough German to understand him so that was stressful. I am happy we got to do a few fun things as well so I'm grateful for that. Now we just hope that the house sells fast!
