Early last week I had an interview that I believe went decently well. The interview was arranged by an outside recruiter. I know that the company originally selected 4 people to interview, and that the final candidate was interviewed on Monday (of this week).
I already sent a thank-you note (obviously). What's the best way to follow-up from here on out? Should I contact the most senior person that I met with, or should I limit myself to communicating with / through the recruiter? For what it's worh, the recruiter told me she'd be "in touch" as soon as she received feedback.
If you think it's ok to follow-up with the company directly, any thoughts on a phone call vs. email?
I did ask for a timeline, but the response was pretty vague. On the one hand, they told me that their current employee's last day in the office was last Friday. Since it's a three-person department, you'd think they'd be in a hurry to replace him. But they didn't really convey any urgency or specific timeline at all.
