My old prescription for my thyroid medicine ran out. I went to the community health clinic to get a new one. I waited in line and told the receptionist, "I needed to get a new prescription for thyroid medicine because my old one ran out." She says okay have a seat. Fast forward 2 and a half hours later, they call me back to the front desk. New person asks me if I just needed a refill, I said no I need a new prescription because my old one from my old doctor ran out. Then she tells me that because I haven't seen anyone in this town for my thyroid that I'll need to come back tomorrow. Why couldn't they have asked me that when I first got there?

I have two pills left from the one month mercy supply that my pharmacy gave me since they didn't tell me my prescription had run out. so I'm good through tomorrow.
Walgreen's will send a refill request to the doctor. Won't your pharmacy do that? Or has your one year come up and you need to get your levels tested again?

My pharmacy gave me a mercy refill last month. I'm sure I'll be able to get the new prescription tomorrow, I was just irritated that I missed an hour of work, that I wouldn't have if they had simply told me that they wouldn't have been able to help me when I signed in.
