I'm at the vet, getting both Eowyn and Simba fixed. Fun stuff. Then I'm going to run to the store, grab the boys some donuts and find lunch for tonight, and then I'm headed off to bed. Gotta work tonight. Hope everyone has a good friday!
dana86 , have fun at the Birthday party this weekend, and I hope your family is able to enjoy your last few days with Red
kwpnjumper55 , how old are the kittens now? Do cats get the wear the cone of shame too?
TGIF! Today is the first official day of being a team of two (which is supposed to be a team of five) at work. I got a lot of things done yesterday, and because it's a day before a holiday (not a lot of people in the office) I hope it's slow!
I'm meeting H for some poke (the fish, not BCBC ) after work. Then Saturday is my long awaited viewing of Independence Day - Resurgence!
Simba is almost 11 weeks, time to get him neutered because I don't want him spraying in my house.
Where are you getting poke from?? I want some!
The Ram has poke nachos as a regular appetizer and on Happy Hour. That's where we'll be tonight. They also have a seasonal poke salad special, but I got that last time.
I did find THE BEST poke in Wallingford, it's in the back at a convenience store (on the corner of Sunnyside St N & N 45th). I was skeptical, because it looks like a hole in the wall, random spot, but there is ALWAYS a line as soon as the Poke Bar opens. And the poke bowl is awesome.
Waiting for my global entry interview and then heading to work. We are planning on taking it easy this weekend and not doing anything too exciting. I think tonight my H wants to try boiling point to celebrate his last day at his old job so hopefully it is good. Tomorrow will be the gym and major cleaning/organizing. Not sure about the rest, I'm glad to have no plans!
What are everyone's plans for the weekend? As far as the actual 4th, we have none. I would maybe be willing to go for fireworks except for having to work the next day and you have to get there SO. Damn. EARLY. And then wait FOREVER to be able to leave to get home. We're starting our clean out the ILs house plan - basically our goal is to spend 1 day there, every other weekend. Every weekend would be too much. Also need to do some cleaning around our house and maybe some yard work. Maybe also playing some of my new Sims 3.
Work is so slooow and dead and boring most days! Makes me a bit worried for what the future holds for our department.
@lauralynne You always run yourself so ragged! I see where Little Louie seems to come by some of it very naturally! I hope your friend does take the promotion and learns to accept other childcare options.
I'm sorry, @lauralynne, What a tough position to be in.
It's been a rough week. I've been so emotional, and just in an all around funk. I seem to have pulled out of it the past couple days. Hoping that I'm through with that!
Tonight, date night with K. Not sure what we're doing yet. Tomorrow night, I'm bartending. Sunday, I'm getting together with a couple girlfriends (and their kiddos) to walk & play at Green Lake. Hoping the weather cooperates! For the 4th, I'm just going up to my brother's house. We'll BBQ, and just all hang out together. They live pretty far out there. It's so relaxing! I invited K to come with me, which is kind of a big step for me... Not sure if he will, though.
I go back to work on Tuesday so this is my last official day of maternity leave. I probably won't be around much anymore. Even less than I already am. I'm going to be just focusing on keeping my head above water so I need to cut out anything nonessential. I'll try to check in on weekends though.
