Holiday weekends

How were they?

Mine was good and unproductive. My brother and SIL dropped my nephews off at my parents for the week, so they came for dinner Friday. Then MH and I walked to the fireworks once they were gone.

Saturday we slept in and removed some flooring for MIL (we get paid). After a nap, I went to my parents for dinner.

Sunday we didn't do much and yesterday MH was back at work. I went to the mall, then for a Botox refresh and out to my parents to see my nephews. I am off until Thursday, and told my mom I'd come back out today, but am currently sitting on the couch drinking coffee and watching Family Feud. This sounds like a better idea.

I took all of last week off work, and I can't believe it's already over!

We went camping for my first time Wednesday and Thursday nights - it was SO much fun! I can't wait to go again!

Friday we just drove home and recovered. I think I was passed out by 8:30 LOL.

Saturday, we went out for lunch, and then realized we were close to a brewery we've only been to a couple of times, so decided to head there. I wound up texting with a friend who suggested we meet up at yet another brewery...which really turned into 3 more.

Sunday I taught yoga and then we met up with a couple of friends for 2 more breweries.

Yesterday we met MIL and BIL for lunch, then went to my parents' house for a BBQ in the evening. It was a super fun weekend, but not very cheap. LOL!

Weekend was pretty good.   Hung out with our friends on Sat night & then again on Monday for some pool time. 
Had some relaxation time, a great full body massage, and some delicious home cooked food.  
Now onto a concert tonight, so I'm sure I'll be dead in the morning when I have to get up for work.

Wait, what!? First time camping, like EVER ever? 
Not judging, just shocked.... but camping was a thing for my family because we were poor when I was growing up, haha.

Wait, what!? First time camping, like EVER ever? 
Not judging, just shocked.... but camping was a thing for my family because we were poor when I was growing up, haha. 

LOL my family just didn't go on vacation, period.  

Actually, we did go to Disneyland when I was in about 4th grade, and we tagged along to Vegas when my dad had a work conference when I was probably in 9th grade or so.  But other than that, nada.

We pretty much cleaned and did yard work all weekend until we had people over for the 4th. The last group didn't leave until almost midnight last night. Hence why I just finished another cup of coffee.

It was a good balance of fun and productive.

Friday my H and I took the day off for his birthday, and went white water rafting, then we went to a local winery with the best sangria ever, came home, made nachos and had a fire in the firepit.

Saturday, we got some stuff done around the house, then had a couple of friends over for firepitting and wine.

Sunday, hung out with the squishy guy, grocery shopping, and laundry.

Monday, more stuff around the house, watched the local fireworks with some neighbors from the comfort of our deck.

duff, so jealous of your camping trip! I want to go camping so bad, but a) the H hates camping and b) the sleeping situation with the gremlin is tenuous at best right now.
