He is a big, strong healthy dog; he's also totally social. He doesn't like to be alone so I really do not think for one minute he is wandering around lost. I think either 1. He is dead in a field/ditch that is just not visible to the street or 2. someone has him.
I am so worried. It's really hot here, like 103*; too hot for a dog to be outsize. Plus he's a total jerk and will only drink water if he sees you pour it. Not "old" water for him!
I'm thinking about making a post about what he likes/dislikes.... remind someone how much he sheds. He's really a total pain in the ass but I would do anything to have him back and hair all over my house!
Another suggestion I was given is to put on the posters that he needs medication. If someone stole him/is trying to keep him, they might change their minds if they think he's not totally healthy.
I was so hoping for a good update. I don't live anywhere near SA and don't know anyone who does or I would offer to help do something. Don't give up! It might be that someone has him and hopefully they will bring him to a vet or a shelter soon.

I am worried about this. All over FB I've posted that he's a big healthy gentle friendly wonderful blah blah blah dog. OF COURSE someone would want him! However, he's freaking huge. Sheds like no other. He's a lot of dog. I wonder if I should change my signs?
I haven't stopped sending good thoughts & keeping you & pup in my prayers, OP! (I know many others are joining; I just hoped you aren't getting too awfully discouraged & wanted to reassure you good vibes are continuing...)
My dog was missing for 8 days. The person that had him didn't have any kind of social media. He happened to see one of posters. He said "I figured he belonged to someone, he's well trained"

We lost our dog a year ago and posted on a local FB page. They have a TON of animals reunited. here are the tips. I hope some of them help you. The mail carrier one I had never thought about.
"Posting fliers, driving through the neighborhood slowly and calling the pets name may get their attention. If you have a companion dog, squeaky toy, whistle or anything that the dog is familiar with and can smell or hear take that along with you. Also take a favorite treat in the event you find them but they are hesitant to come to you. Understand that they may be very scared when you get to them because they have been lost and confused and may have run into people that chased them away.
Keep the fliers simple, as large as possible and on bright/neon paper. CVS and Walgreens carry all the supplies you need (bright paper, poster board, extra-large sharpie, plastic covers and packing tape). An effective flier should read: LOST DOG SIZE/COLOR PHONE NUMBER(S) The less info you provide the more leads you'll get and don't use breed specifics or complicated color descriptions (i.e. brindle, blue, etc…) because not all people are familiar with dog breed types/colors. * Put a poster in your yard or on your door (if you are in an apt or condo) with the same info. This will let anyone who might be looking for you, know exactly where they belong. If you are in an apt or condo let your manager know in case someone contacts them. * If you haven’t already post an ad on Craigslist under COMMUNITY then LOST and FOUND as well as under COMMUNITY then PETS. * Call all of the vets in your area and take fliers to them. Fliers get more attention and are seen by more people. * Check with your postal carrier and garbage pick up people, they are very familiar with the area and are a great resource. * Check to see if there is an email group, facebook page, or any type of mass notification available and if there is, post the info there. * With a glass marker (you can get these from CVS, Walgreens or any office supply store) write the information on your car window so it can been see as you move around town. Make sure you provide a phone number.
