DD loves stuff like that too. We don't have any kind of playhouse for them though. I just keep them in baskets and buckets. Not sorted or organized. Paw patrol gets thrown right in with Princess Sophia.
I'm pretty sure I saw that Doc McStuffins set at Target. It was part of the big toy clearance. It was 30% off and around $9 if I remember correctly. I debated buying one for an upcoming birthday gift but bought a 30% off Doc McStuffins dress and pink cowboy hat instead!

My girls both love those!!
We have tons and tons of them. One Christmas the Disney Store had them on sale, and I think we bought DD1 6 of them for Christmas.
I just keep them all in one of the bins in the toy chest.
I don't think the castle is necessary. It would probably get ignored at my house. Honestly, I'd rather buy the Duplo Cinderella castle and use that for the little figurines -- at least that way the castle can (1) be disassembled and put away and (2) the castle is a toy by itself.

Yes, they are basically all DD plays with. We have princesses, all the mickey Characters and Arlo the good Dinosaur. She mixes them all up. I love it, she is pretty imaginative with them
DD1 loves the magiclip princesses and as a result, so do DD2&3. I kick myself everyday for not buying more of them at Costco when they were clearanced to $15. They use them in our LP castle and house for now.

We keep them all in a bin. DD has some fun bigger things to put them in like a barn, Doll house, ect. But she never uses those things. Her favorite thing is just to line up the characters where ever. SO I don't think i'd spend that much money on the castle.
I don't know if mine will but we did buy her the special Disneyland 60th anniversary edition castle. link It was purchased at the park, so it was less than half of what they're asking on Amazon. Wouldn't have bought it so far in advance except for the special diamond anniversary aspect. Crazy that we already have a gift for her third birthday in 2019. lol
95% of the toys DD actually plays with are little figurines. I have a couple canvas bins from Target for her to throw them in. She'd go nuts for that second castle you posted.
DD1 loves the figurines. She calls them her action figures. Stored in a basket on her nightstand shelf. She earned one for each poop in the potty lol. We have Disney princesses, Frozen and Tangled. She plays with them in bed a lot.
My oldest 2 were really into those for years. We still probably have 100+ of them that I've kept for DD4 (who isn't really into them at least not yet). We bought every set at Disney World one year & saved half for Christmas. What has survived are in a bin in our IKEA Expidit in our toy closet. We've had a few of the plastic sets (the Castle that was only available at actual Disneyland, a Rupunzle tower, Cinderella horse & carriage, etc)...but none of them were all that great. The DL castle was expensive and broke the quickest. What has lasted and would work is the wooden Melissa & Doug castle. My girls use it for Playmobil but the little figurines would work too.
We have a set like that of the standard mickey characters. We also have a Daniel Tiger set, and some Sesame St characters, a couple random little people and Disney princesses. I keep them all in a big bag. (I save the bags that bedding, curtains, etc come in because they are perfect for toys!). The kids get endless play out of those types of toys because of all the possibilities. When we went to the Cape for a week the bag with all the "characters" as I call it was the only toy I brought. The kids played forever with them - they played going to school, going to the beach, out for ice cream, to the Great Valley (like they do in the movie Land Before Time), etc. They make up different names for them sometimes so they don't always use them as Elmo or Mickey or whatever.
At home they also use them in the dollouse and with the baby strollers to take them to the store or whatever. I highly recommend them because it's one of the things that the kids are able to play with independently for a long time.
