I just in the last day have kind of figured out what it is. I was never into the pokemon ages ago when they came out so not really my thing now either, but I think its a fun thing people can do with kids and getting out and about by what it sounds.

The pokephenomen came about just as I hit high school so I never understood it. The app is pretty fun though, even if I don't fully know what I'm doing and don't know all about the critters and their skills and how to battle. It's a more interesting excuse/impetus to get out of the house/go for a walk though.

Voted - No.  I think I'm a little too old for the main demographic, and was never into Pokemon stuff as a youngster.  I'm interested, but not sure if I want to commit the data to it.  I like the idea of collecting the cute monster-things, but I get a little hesitant at the idea of fighting them at a gym-or-whatever.

I feel that by using public transit a lot and walking Conan a lot, I get outside a fair amount already.

I have another mobile game that I am dedicating my time to that is part of a series that I already religiously play so I said pokeno....sorry that and I never got into it and I am in the main demographic. I think mostly because of my first name and the name of the original main character. Totally turned me off as a kid.

First game was released when I was 18 so yeah..I wasn't demographic and I never got into it. The critters are cute though and I need the encouragement to get out. I'll just be the loner over here on our board then! And I'll chatter poke-nonsense at you all in morning check in.

Honestly, it's been kind of fun, the sense of community and commonality it's been fostering. You can kind of tell when someone around you is playing it and it makes it easy to strike up a conversation and it makes people smile to share and talk about.

I said Pokeno. I'm not personally playing it. But, I really do love it as a concept. It gets people (kids & adults) out, and active, instead of sitting inside, sedentary, playing games. I listen to The End a lot. I know a few of the djs are talking about playing it. I don't think it's necessarily for the typical Pokeman demographic. Shoot, K & I saw plenty of adults at Beerfest playing. If this is a way to encourage people to be active, I'm all for it.

Ok, so I did my normal grocery shopping trip today and remembered 'oh yeah. summer so more people/kids around'. All the parents that had kids from like 5+ had their eyes glued to tablets or phones of some sort as they walked around the store & parking lot looking for these things. One mom had 5 kids with her and 4 of them were on their own things playing and not watching where they were going

Outside of PF Changs at Alderwood there were like 20 people and I was like uhh wtf is going on, then I figured out it was a Poke-stop? I just wanted some lettuce wraps

The front and back doors to my building are poke-stops... I've been parking in Wallingford to save money on parking and walking on the Burke on the way in. Pretty much every building on the way in has something. I have absolutely no interest in battling or getting a gym, I really just wanna catch them all. Its bad.

Fun story for today: grumpy as work is hellishly boring and technology has been rude to me. Boss suggested I go for a short walk, which I hopped on because there was a GREY SILHOUETTE WITH ONE FOOT PRINT on my screen! Followed it behind my building, got a neato Taurus...and guy on the other end of hte parking lot smiled at me when I got to that side and asked excitedly, "Did you get it?!" I said, "Yeah!" He said, "me too! It crashed a few times but I finally got it! Getting our nerd on." "high-five!" Then he confessed he left work to come get it and better sneak back

My lunch break was dictated by someone who set off two lure modules right next to each other, a block away from my office. I haven't run in a while. But when I do, I catch 5! It was so funny to watch everyone. Some people are trying to be sneaky about playing, and others don't care.
