Prime Day?

What is all this hype? Is there anywhere to go to see a preview of deals? My mom and I both want a fire stick and I'm hoping they will be one of the deals this year. All these lightning deals and whatnot drive me crazy thinking I am going to miss something.

Anyone else annoyed/confused by some of the deals? Like I want a new cell phone case and it says "30% off select cases for Prime Day." On the product page it says Save an Additional 30% at checkout. Then at checkout - nothing. WTF.

And under details for the promotion it says this:

•You will receive an e-mail from Amazon that indicates the dollar amount of the promotional credit and that the dollar amount of the credit has been added to your customer account. The e-mail will also provide instructions on how to redeem the promotional credit.
•Promotional credit expires at 11:59 p.m. (PT) [July 12, 2016].

So...they give me a credit that I then have to turn around and use today? I don't get it.

So, I did a subscribe and save diaper deal and Kleenex. It shows up as a crazy low price when I subscribe, but the. If I look in my subscription queue, the price is higher. What price am I actually paying?

I placed my order for stuff I needed yesterday and I'm staying far, far away today.  Prime day just made me angry last year because I couldn't get one thing I wanted.  It all sold out too fast.

The 30% was automatically applied at checkout. I don't think all cases are on sale, only a specific list. Let me see if I can find a link.

It seems like on the main page they're showing all colors of each case labeled as Prime Deals, but then when you click onto the actual product page, only one or two colors will still say it. Too frustrating.

I got a 6 pack of venus razors for $6. Pretty sad that's the hightlight of my day. The hammock I wanted sold out too quick early this morning, but now it's "regular price" for the deal price. I remember that happening with my dust buster last year too.
