Kona cafe breakfast is great!! Pineapple Macademia pancakes :-) and if you're into coffee- they have a pressed pot of Kona coffee :-)
Garden Grill is a great character meal! We liked how it's family style- not a buffet. So they bring all the food to your table so you don't have to worry about missing one of the characters while you're up at the buffet... We did dinner last time and we're doing a PPO breakfast this time!
I think some of the kona cafe breakfast faves are also at capt cooks? Are you staying at the poly?
Why the late akershus - to do the frozen stuff at rope drop? If not, I'd get an 8am Akershus - or even if not, if the park opens at 9, you'd be walking out of your breakfast right around 9.
Some quick service ideas - columbia harbor house in MK. Sunshine seasons, Great Britain, morocco in Epcot. Also I really want to try the Skipper's canteen in MK.
Cape May is supposed to be good but I don't know that I'd make a special trip there unless you're staying in the boardwalk area.
If you want a princess meal try to get Askerhaus pre RD for advantage with FEA. With 1 day at Epcot it maaaaayyyy be worth it to book Pre RD at Garden Grill & ride Soarin first & then ride FEA later with FP plus. For either scenario try to get that FP plus since FEA breaks down all the fricken time.
For Pre RD breakfasts always book a 10am too & then cancel it if Disney doesn't change hours. You don't want to be eating at 8am during am EMH & miss them.
Unless you are staying at Poly skip Kona. It's not really worth missing the welcome show for since you are already doing a pre RD meal the other day.
We did a 10am ashkerhus and I really liked it. We actually did several 10am breakfasts and then had a 4pm dinner. Since my kids eat the hot second that they wake up so the 'brunch' hour worked well.
We did the 10am Akurshus and it was great. Liked O'Hana for dinner - it was fun and the food was good. Didn't care much for Kona cafe at all. Our favorite restaurant by far was Sanaa.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

Yes poly. The reason I was thinking later is bc I've never been to epcot and idk if it will fill a day. I would like to get up slow, relax and not rush out the door since we will see rope drop at mk all days.

We enjoyed our Kona breakfast. I agree with trying to get a BOG dinner. We also like The Wave for dinner. That is at the Contemporary, so easy access from MK.
What tier 1 ride do you plan to FP at Epcot? I think you can definitely spend a whole day there.
FEA is Frozen Ever After. If you have any interest in riding it I would probably make that your top priority FP.
curbsideprophet, yes Frozen Ever After is definitely at the top of the list. I really haven't looked into the Epcot rides very much. DD2 is only going to be 2 and DD1 doesn't like thrill rides or anything even remotely scary so I know test track is out as well as mission space.

There is so much and you get to do things that are fun for you, too!
The boat ride in Mexico, we like the movies in Canada (360 degree) and France (theater sitting, very relaxing and beautiful music, a great rest), figment, nemo, turtle talk w/ crush, living w/ the land, soarin', little things like the jumping fountains, character meet & greets in FW & IS, live music & other entertainment throughout IS. Really, there is so much! Wandering through the countries w/ a drink is a great way to see things while the kids rest/sleep or there is plenty for them, too - coloring in each country, fountains, food to try, etc.

Kona Cafe breakfast is definitely worth it. If you like coffee, order the french press kona coffee.
Garden Grill at Epcot is yummy. Family style, so all the food is brought to you and all the characters come to your table. So if you do this one, make sure you are hungry because it's a lot of food. Make sure you bring your kids to Turtle Talk at Epcot. It's funny.
We went to the Luau at the Polynesian. It's expensive, the show is wonderful, a lot of food, my kids who were 6 & 8 at the time were not a fan of the food.

The phineas and ferb game in World Showcase is super fun.
