So I saw in the other post the idea to go to Garden Grill PPO and then head right to Soarin'. It will be my mom, H, and I + 2 year DD who can't ride. Would rider swap work in this situation, with 3 adults, if none of us want to ride alone (meaning I'd probably go once with H and once with my mom)?
I guess the other option is to get my mom 1 FP+ and then I could go again after I go with H right at 9am...any ideas I'm missing?

You would all go up and show DD and ask for a rider swap ticket. Two of you ride and one person stays with DD. The ticket is good for three people and should be good for a few days. Then the next two who want to ride take the ticket to the FP line when they are ready to ride.
Curbside is correct. You could also have one of you book the FP for Test Track. One adult and your DD goes up to get a swap pass and the other two can then also ride TT in the FP lane later.

This worked well for us and we were able to FP Soarin and Test Track with with rider swap. We did have an additional adult though so no one had to ride alone.

Yep totally fine. And the rider swaps are usually good until the end of the month (or the month after). i had a stack of unused ones (plus a bunch of anytime FPs for certain rides that broke when we were in line) I handed to a family on our way to catch magical express last trip.

So wait? How does this work? I get a FP+ and then bring my DH and DD with me in FP line to get the rider swap pass? (DD is too young to ride)

At soarin and test track you get a lanyard at before you walk in once they confirm you have a kid not tall enough. Then you redeem the lanyard for the pass right before you board.
I thought I understood rider swap (we used it 2 years ago when DD was old enough to ride but DS's were not) but now I have a question. When we went last time, H, DD and I all signed up for the same FP's. One of us would go with DD while the other waited with the babies, then we would switch out. DD went on all the rides the boys couldn't go on twice, once with H and once with me. Did we waste FP opportunities. Should H and I have signed up for different FP's then swapped out using ride sharing? Would this have prevented DD from going on all of them?
I think our boys will still be too small for the thrill rides when we go again so I want to make sure I understand it correctly and make the most of FP's.

Lots of people split them up but I've had all of our bands scanned at mine train to confirm we ALL at FPs before they gave us rider swap. I think that's the only one I've read that does that sometimes.
Basically you if you have 3 of you with paying tickets, 2 FP soarin' 1 FP test track. Get ruder swap at both. But 1 person will be riding test track alone in order to get the rider swap for the other twizzlers

Child Swap essentially kinda doubles your FP plus opportunities.
So lauren170 gets 1 FP plus for Soarin. You bring DD and H and Mom up to the attendant and they give you a rider swap. You ride while H and Mom take DD on Living with the Land. When done meet up and let your H and Mom ( with the Rider Swap which lets you use the FPplus line) go on while you take DD back on Living with the Land or on that Circle Vision Lion King thing ( or do whatever because the pass is good for a few days)
Then H makes a FP plus for Test Track. Same deal over there.
The only ride the 4 of you need a FP plus for is FEA. Which is tier one so I am not sure how to factor that in.

So I go up to the FP+ lane with just 1 FP, and they'll let 3 adults + the 2 year old into the FP+ line, but give us a lanyard? I did not know this last year when we went!

No. Not all at once. You have to take turns. Because DD is under the height limit.

Yeah, i didn't know they'll allow the 3 adults to go to front of FP line to get the ride swap. I assumed all had to have the FPs... I know we'd take turns riding

Yeah the rider swap line is just the FP plus line. No difference.

You go to the entrance of the FP line and the person there will scan your bands to confirm your FP and then give you the RS pass If you are doing standby they will give you the pass and you'll enter the standby line.
But Soarin' and Test Track (and maybe some other ones) give you a lanyard that says something like redeem for RS once you get to the front of the line before you board. That way people don't get in line just to get the rider swap pass and then get out.
