Is there fireworks at Epcot and magic kingdom every night? Don't they get in each other's way? Or am I giving fireworks too much credit? Is a FO for fireworks silly?
Every night. They are usually staggered in time ( like Wishes starts at 9 Illuminations starts at 10 or whatever) but the property is large enough that they don't get in each others way.
It is possible using a taxi to see Fantasmic, Illuminations and Wishes all in one night some nights. It's on my someday bucket list.
It is very hard to Fantasmic and The Star Wars fireworks with a good view at HS in one night. Almost impossible.

When DH and I went in May (with no kids, so this is probably why it worked), we watched Fantasmic and then left a few minutes before it ended to rush down to a great spot for the fireworks. We asked a cast member for a good place to watch. She told us the area in front of the Indiana Jones show entrance was good. It was great and no crowds!

WDW is larger than the city of San Francisco. They can have multiple fireworks going off at the same time and they wont affect each other.
If you time it right when you dine at California Grill you can catch brief glimpses of the night shows at EPCOT and The Studios right before the MK fireworks.

The time change for the fireworks definitely ruined that chance!
What time are the Star Wars fireworks at? When we were there a few weeks ago we walked right out of Fantasmic and watched the fireworks show with little problem. We were a bit further up the street so not quite front and center but still had an ok view.

Starting in August I think one is at 9:30 and one is at 9:45 so its impossible to do both.
