[Wines Not Whines]

My office is a complete pokemon dead zone. (We're on a "campus." I've checked the app a few times but there are always zero sightings.) Sigh. It's really hard to keep up when I can only really play for an hour or so every day.

I wonder if things will slow down a bit now that schools are getting back into session.

Yup this is my life. Can't play at all at home, out in the country nothing spawns here. I can pick up crap Pokemon in parking lots while I run errands. That's it. To actually get anything useful, I have to carve out kid-free time, which is hard.

Just found a website that tells you where poke stops and gyms are! I've been looking for something like this for forever!

I hit level 20 today! Of course before that, I saw my first Scyther (cp 12something) and couldn't catch it because I only had regular poke balls.

I haven't gotten a 10k egg in over 2 weeks, so I decided to clear out my entire egg inventory yesterday. I didn't spin a single Pokestop until all my eggs were hatched. I am back up to 9 eggs this morning and guess what? Not a single 10k one, pretty sad about it.

I had a similar, but longer 10k egg dry spell. I got one my second week of playing, then NOTHING for over a month. Then all of a sudden I've gotten 3 in the last 2 weeks. All 3 of them were from pokestops NOT in my normal playing area. So maybe try clearing out your inventory again and spinning pokestops somewhere new?

I'm at level 22 and I've only had two 10k eggs, is that normal?

One was an electabuzz who was a BEAST in gyms, but Asher transferred away and the second was a Chansey which is cool, but not going to win anything. I even bought some incubators to clear out my egg stash a couple times. Blah.

I vote normal. I only had 1 10k egg by level 22 (I got it at level 9 I think). I've since gotten 3 at level 23 and 25.

FYI, you can't transfer favorite Pokemon. So favorite ERRYTHING like pugz and I do, so our kids don't transfer important Mons.

IMHO I think it means you've gotten a nicely filled out pokedex. I've been reading a bunch about 10k hatch rates, and the chance of a snorlax or Lapras is about 5% each. So people like Brie and swizz just got unimaginably fucking lucky.

I love my little Chansey, but her CP is so low (last, when sorted by CP). And it will never improve because I will never find another lol.

I'm fed up with the eggs too. We always get shit and I hate that you can't delete them. We're full of 9 2k eggs so we're not getting better eggs. H is saving coins to buy an incubator and we'll have to use it for 2k eggs just to get rid of some.

Why can't we just delete them?!!

Never seen a Porygon. I catch Tangela semi-frequently. They're nothing to write home about. I would give almost ANYTHING right now to hatch a Growlithe. I'm sure you have zillions. I had TWO. My beloved new Arcanine needs powering up.

You're in the Pokemon desert biome. swizz and I are in the grassland biome. So we spawn distinctly different things. I haven't seen a ton of the stuff you have.

Because incubators are the main money maker for Niantic. I know I've bought many. They'll never let us delete eggs. Plus, everyone would just delete all their 2k and 5k until all they have is 10k. Then every gym will be filled with solely Snorlax and Lapras. The game would die.

If I were to power up my Vaporeon, I could finally have my first 2,000 CP Pokemon. But I really want that accomplishment to be my beloved Arcanine. That's totally not rational.

I rarely see Oddish. I was only able to evolve a Gloom because I visited Chicago!

I don't even see Weedle that much either.

I've caught 98 Growlithes. Ekans is a pest here, too -- 159 caught.

I used to get cool stuff in eggs in the beginning, but now? Crap. My first few eggs were Chansey, Grimer, and Tangela! Since then the most exciting thing I've gotten was a Drowsee.

we were at the hospital tonight for a big sibling class and SO MUCH STUFF spawned while we were there, lol! No pokestops or gyms nearby. I didn't catch anything amazing but stuff kept popping up.

Had a shitty morning at work so I took a long walk at lunch. There is a Pikachu nest about 3/4 of a mile from my office so I walked there, lapped around the garden, and caught a bunch of stuff. Only one Pikachu but two more poofed on me. It was very nice and peaceful and now that it's not ungodly hot maybe I'll do it more often. I want a Raichu!

@supergreen that map is awesome! The arboretum near us is covered in pokestops. Will be a good place to go for walks once baby is here!

Looks like they're called Terrains, not biomes, I misspoke, sorry. The 3 I've seen used are Desert (like miso), forest (like me and swizz), and coastal. Here's a good video with all the details. I took a screenshot of the terrain description from the video for you. The Pokemon that spawn in the forest biome are most certainly what I see.

ETA: I think pidgey, rattata, and Weedle are common to everybody. That's why they're not listed here.

Yay! I'm glad it's helpful. I was looking around on it and saw a town about 30 minutes away that has a ton of pokestops and 3-5 gyms all in a small downtown area. I'm going to hit that up next week with DD while DS is at school.

My gym defender finally got kicked out. Someone took the time to walk across the whole park, hike down the slope, and take out the level 8 Mystic gym. I was damn lucky to be there for 3 weeks. It was an incredible run.
