The post brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad you had such a nice visit.
Also wtf the the hospital ignoring you at first! I'd like to hear that story if you choose to tell it, and promise to rage with you.
I went to the hospital in the morning and could still hobble a bit and use my phone. They diagnosed me with something else which wasn't even the issue. The problem was I could feel myself losing functions throughout the day and even though I complained to the nurse, no physician was going to come see me until the next day. I even requested a specialist to come see me and was told that would happen the next day. The scary part of this day was that I was losing function in my hands and no one seemed to care. My husband was with me all day but he had to leave to go back to DD. By the time my brother arrived and we decided to go to another hospital it was midnight. They handed me a pen to sign out AMA and I couldn't even hold the pen anymore. Whereas that morning I had signed stuff myself. My brother drove me to a big academic hospital. We had called A friend who is a resident at that hospital who knew we were coming. He hooked us up with the neuro department so when we got there I went straight to the ICU.
Thanks for updating! So happy to hear it was a really nice reunion. I can't imagine the stress of all this upheaval in your life. Hang in there, it sounds like you are doing great.

I'm so glad you were able to make it to another hospital to help you. Enjoy spending time with DD and focus on getting yourself better. Try not to worry about the things in your life you can't do anything about right now.
I'm so sorry you went through that at the first hospital. That must have been terrifying to be knowingly losing control and the hospital not doing anything.
I'm so glad that your reunion with your DD went so well today.
I just saw this post and was so confused because I didn't ready the other post. OH MY GOSH, sent. This is so scary, but I am so happy to hear you're healing.
Let me know if there is anything you need help with!
