You can go on the beach if you're not staying there, but I'm not sure how the beach is set up now with the fences they've been putting up. You may be better off watching from the dock now.
I haven't done the luau, so I'm not sure about that.
You probably can't see them from the luau. There is a screened backdrop that is semi transparent. I know they used to let anyone sit on the beach but that was before those $$$$ bungalows & now the music is much quieter. I like watching them on a boat. Either the ferry or the little boat between Grand Floridian, MK & Poly.

Yes! We happened to have good timing on our last night and watching the fireworks from the boat was really cool!

Yeah when I was staying at The Poly last January my Mom and DS fell asleep early so I went to MK alone. I did some rides but the lines were CRAZY so I grabbed the boat back and timed Wishes. PERFECTLY. They piped the audio in and it was fantastic.

According to the Tikiman page they are getting really strict about only letting resort guests watch the fireworks there. They've had people scanning magic bands to check. If you're eating dinner there I think they give you some time after but I'm not sure. Apparently guests were saying the beach was getting too crowded, especially after the pool was redone.

There just isn't enough room for a TON of people. Because of those STUPID FREAKING BUNGALOWS ( can you tell I hate those things).
@savestheday I'm with you. No desire to ever stay there. It's like a breeding ground for mosquitos and you would hear that boat until like 1am!
Yes. I stayed at a Standard View Studio on the DVC side of the Poly in July. AWESOME and QUIET.
I would never ever stay Lake View. I can only imagine how loud those boats are at 1am in a Bungalow.
Exactly! We usually do garden view and it's the same. I remember growing up we had first floor pool rooms a lot and they were a little loud but I feel like now would be intolerable.
