WHOAH! Those are some strict and speedy mods over there. I was quoted in a thread and went back to reply and it had been LOCKED. Because the OP had received enough help?? WTAF!
I was going to provide her a link explaining a service I was talking about. Guess I can't. Thanks MODS.
I like the DVC posts and some of the TRs are awesome ( some are awful. Like I don't need to know EXACTLY how many times your kid pottied per day, or how many minutes EXACTLY you waited for check in.)
"I brought my own waffle iron last year and Bisquick."
OMG LOL! But seriously don't burn the hotel down.
I bring poptarts and granola bars and even stuff for PB&J ( well sunflower and J ) but COME ON. If you aren't in a suite with a kitchen don't cook stuff.

I was just going to say this. I'm obsessed with reading trip reports but what is WITH some of those people? Why do I need so many photos?! Why does it take over a year to type it?

Or the people who post 1000 blurry picture of the same thing. We get it you ate a flatbread at Pinnichio Village Haus at 11:37 am.
Lots of people cook in the villas at DVC. The 2 bedroom at OKW is bigger than my first house. No joke. But bringing a crockpot to like Caribean Beach?? That's a really bad idea.

Is it bad that I've never made more then like waffles in any of our villas? We only stay in 1 or 2 bedrooms yet we still eat out for like every meal other then breakfast. This is why I'm poor lol

A crock pot would have been fine in our two bedroom at BLT. There was an oven/stove, dishwasher and fridge. a family member did use the oven. I can see how if you were going to be there for an extended time you would want to cook dinner.

We cooked nothing in our 2bd at BLT. My mom was like "uh well the fridge and sink were nice."
We saw a lot of people ordering pizza than anything else when we were there.

I'll admit to doing a good bit of cooking at Aulani in our 1 BR---though most of it was things like pineapple chicken from Costco that only had to be heated.
But that was a very different vacation from WDW. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the hotel, so I wasn't exhausted or missing park time.
Even when we get a villa at WDW I usually only get breakfast items. Uncrustables, fruit, bagels, etc.
We are going in November and for the first time ever I need to make a few meals. We are there 9 days...and there are 5 of us. We have a DVC studio so at least have a fridge, toaster and microwave. I cannot imagine bringing a crock pot. We were just going to make sandwiches a few times!
The crock pots are crazy for sure. If you have a kitchen, I don't think it's a big deal to cook some but no way am I doing anything complicated or intensive. Just quick breakfast things, snacks, fruit, adult beverages, etc. If we had a full kitchen (we've only had studios) I could see a quick frozen pizza or mac & cheese or something for the kids. But for me it's less about money and more about making the trip work for us. I'm not cooking a big meal after being in the parks all day and heading back out. Then again, if that was the only way we could afford it...
I'm actually more grossed out by the people eating the same lunch meat from a cooler all week w/ just ice in it. That they brought from home frozen. Barf.
I hate cooking at home, why would I want to cook on vacation? LOL.
Yes!!! My favorite part of our last trip was not cooking or doing dishes for 7 days.
ETA: if I had to cook at Disney I'd just rather stay home. I mean, cereal in the morning or something is fine. We brought snacks. But cook an actual meal in a hotel room? No thank you.
