We just got rid of ours. I was having issues sleeping and it was contributing to it because someone who slept in the room and wasn't me or the dog would forget to turn on the sleep timer. Also, I did feel like sometimes it interfered with sex because we would just get lazy and zone out to the tv. I really only miss it during the day when I am folding laundry, cleaning the master bath/bedroom and want background noise.
Yes. I like to watch the news in the morning while getting ready.
:Y: Me too. Sometimes we don't feel like going downstairs to watch a movie or a favorite tv show when we are already in bed, so having the tv in the room helps.

I will add that we didn't always have a TV in the bedroom. We moved it in here when we got a bigger TV for the living room and had nowhere else to put this one, but I love having it in there. I am weird and need background noise in whatever room I'm in.
This is a bone of contention with FI and I at the moment. I have always had a TV in my bedroom. I watch it right before falling asleep and watch the news when I'm getting ready in the morning. Plus, it's awesome when I'm sick in bed. FI hates the idea of a TV in the bedroom. He says the bedroom is for sex and sleeping.

DH would love one but I am definitely against it. He tends to have the TV on in the background whenever he is home and it drives me a little crazy. I need there to be somewhere in the house where there is no television! I love having a little quiet time for reading and chatting before we go to sleep. I admit it would be kind of nice to hang out with the baby in the morning and watch the Today show in bed, though.
Yes, my H turns it on to go to sleep. I only like having it there maybe 10% of the time (to have it on while folding laundry, or cuddling/watch a movie, etc.). I get annoyed that he turns it on every night. Pants, I agree with your H - I definitely think it prohibits getting laid.

Yes, but we never use it. I want to put it in the sun room so I don't have to watch my workout DVDs on the laptop, but whenever I bring it up H says "But what if we want to watch something in bed?" 8-D
Yes. DH works nights so when I bring the kids to bed I watch some dvr before I go to sleep. In the mornings I'll put some Mickey or the music channel on to moderately entertain the kids while I get ready.
