Since we're heading to the lake with B this weekend, I was making a packing list and added sunscreen, and it occurred to me that out in the sun, his little nose could get burnt. I looked it up and sure enough, sunscreen is recommended for dog noses.
The only problem is that I can't seem to find info on whether or not regular sunscreen is fine as long as I don't let him lick it off. There seem to be varying opinions.
What say the Pesties? We use SPF 50 Banana Boat SportBlock usually. The lotion, not the spray. Has anyone used sunscreen on their dog's nose before?
Redheadbaker, do you just use the Neutrogena baby because you have it for L, or do you think the baby stuff would be gentler?
No, I've been using it on my dogs for years. My vet recommended it.
I might pick some of that up then! Our vet doesn't carry the epi-pet (I called) and I don't have time to order some and have it arrive before tomorrow, so... Thanks so much!
