XP: binocular recs?

We bought a pair of Redfield 10x42 binoculars for our trip to TZ. They were a bit on the heavy side, but affordable and worked really well. I only wish we'd bought two pairs. We did a lot of impatient waiting for the other to hand the binoculars over when we had good animal sightings.

My H is a hunter and said to go on Cabela's or Bass Pro online, search in your price range and read reviews. Hunters are pretty big into their binoculars and write good reviews (or so my H says.)
