Thank you for the helpful replies yesterday to my flowy-dumpy outfit problem. I got several good general pieces of advice that I can incorporate for future outfits.
If you're bored and want to comment again, here's what I wore today and I'm not quite feeling it. (I specifically hate how the pockets are visible thru the pants, so, J Crew fail.)
Am I supposed to say what I'm wearing? J Crew Sunday Slim Chinos 4P; J Crew Factory Teddie Sweater XS; Target Ona Flats; Express belt; vintage necklace.

I like the first pic more too. I think your pants might be a little baggy and I would ditch the necklace. But overall, it's not a bad outfit. White pants are hard - too tight and no bueno, too loose and no bueno.

Thanks! I wondered if the pants fit right. I got a 4P but usually wear a 2 regular (sold out).
Different necklace? Also, should I get rid of this necklace permanently? I have been wondering that. This is the first time I've worn it and i feel weird in it. (It was free, so no harm no foul in tossing it.)
I prefer the 1st outfit, but think it'd look a bit more polished with a fun blazer over it. (Maybe a navy and white striped one!)
I don't own anything like that, but I actually don't have any fun blazers. Only 2 that I hate that go with suits I also hate. So I'll keep this in mind.

I like the necklace, I just think it's either belt or necklace and I prefer the belt for this outfit. I would keep the necklace, it's really cute.

I've been adding to my blazer collection over the past 2 years and I think it's really upped my look at work. I used to wear a lot of cardigans (I'm always freezing), but something about a blazer just seems to say "pulled together" and polished, especially when paired with a pencil skirt, dress or skinny pants!

It is the cut of the pants, they are just a more casual pant. I have them in army green and pair them with a tank or tee, aka Jennifer Anniston.

This is one reason why I stopped wearing white pants. The other reason is that I can never keep them clean. The necklace is nice. The pendant attached to the necklace throws off the neckline. Try a longer chain style with no pendant with that neckline. SaveSave
Definitely looks better in picture #1. I don't see anything glaringly wrong with the outfit that way. kris356 is she wearing the same pants as Aniston in the picture? They don't look the same at all.

Not exactly they are slimmer, but it is similar style. I am giving options! J.Crew styles them more casually. Like I said I have them because I got them for like $10 and like them a bit more rolled.

I have the army green ones too and have worn them rolled with a navy and white striped shirt and with the J Crew gray and white striped tank. I like those much more than I am liking the white pair. (The green are also a better fit on me b/c they're the right size.)
