This was Saturday

I woke up with the headache I fell asleep with. Thank gawd bossman is out-of-town. So torn jeans necessary. Tee is merona, jeans Joe's, flats Sam Edelman.

I'm going to try to participate again, I did sporadically awhile ago. Love this top I got from the Nordstrom sale, with black pixies and leopard flats. Sorry for the terrible pic and lighting, no full length mirror at work!

As with last week, I'm looking for helpful critiques and feedback on both of these. 

Saturday: J Crew Sunday Slim Chinos in army green; J Crew striped tee; Merona flip flops; this necklace  [ETA: kris356 , I know you said you have these same pants. Any styling suggestions here? This was for morning coffee with a friend. I never in a million years would have rolled up my pants, but that's how they were being shown in store so I went with it.]



Monday:  Express Editor pants; J Crew Factory Teddie sweater; vintage necklace. I'm pretty sure these pants will get a thumbs down, which I'm ready to accept. I will say that I think they are more flattering on in person than in this pic.

It's a ball cap kinda day. Love caps but I feel like a horse with blinders due to my lack of peripheral vision. Caps make it worse.

And brought the jacket bc well...my office is a damn walk in freezer.

Right there with you. My husband acts like I'm some kind of weird when I get dressed in the AM; it'll be a 95 degree day and I put on trousers and a long-sleeve (thin) sweater. He's all, "you know it's summer, right?" He's not cold-blooded and he isn't slim; he has no idea!

I've gotten colder within the last year. When I'm at home or our neighbor's house I'm walking around under a damn blanket. Everybody swears the thermostats haven't moved in a year.

I love everything about your weekend look except the flip-flops. I think I would have paired with flats or canvas sneakers instead. You are owning the rolled pants!

Thanks for the feedback! It's funny b/c I typically would have worn flats but doubted myself. Thanks for the compliment! I felt pretty good in that outfit. It's definitely going to be a summer/fall favorite, I can already tell.
