I had to stay in on Friday to finish my homework but G was really sweet and got me a bouquet, a bottle of wine, and a shitton of popcorn to compensate.
Saturday I went to a bridal shower, then G and I went to a party at a local brewery. It POURED and some attendees' cars floated away! Luckily we'd parked uphill. One of my favorite little towns, where G and I got engaged, was totally devastated by flooding and two people died. (http://www.wbaltv.com/weather/several-inches-of-rain-cause-flooding-in-ellicott-city/40965238) It's going to take so long to rebuild.
Sunday we went to a Drag Brunch. The food and drinks were good, and the show was great, but the service was not good and it was extremely hot in there. I hope they find a better location. I took a nap when we got home, did some shopping and housework, and then had class from 7-9. One more assignment this week and I am DONE with grad school!
glw, congrats on being almost done! That's so awesome!
Friday we went out with a couple of friends that never get Fridays off, so we had a great time! We went to a brewery, then another little bar to play pool (which we didn't even do because the service was so terrible...we were there for 2 hours and not one server came over to us). It was such a nice night, we decided to walk the mile and a half back to their house instead of waiting for an Uber. We were going to go over to our usual tap room for after hours beer (my friend is the manager), but a couple of our other friends who work there decided to just meet us at the house. We got home about 4AM and I crashed hard.
Saturday, we went out for brunch, took a nap, and then my sister and I went to a Harry Potter tea. We met up with MH at the tap room afterwards, and then made a last minute decision to go to Barnes & Nobel for the Cursed Child release party. I downloaded the book to my Kindle at midnight started reading some of it, but couldn't stay awake.
Yesterday I had the worst yoga class ever. I teach at the tap room, and usually the cleaning crew is there well before I arrive, so they let me in. The girl never showed yesterday, and by the time I got a hold of my manager/friend, it was already 15 minutes past the start time. It normally wouldn't have been a big deal, but a coworker sent her friends to my class for the first time, so it was just a really bad first impression. I ended up doing the class outside on the patio, in the heat, for free and offered them free classes for next time. I think I handled it ok, but one girl was a total bitch (unsurprising, my coworker is a huge bitch too). M and I went to a nearby park to catch some Pokemon in the afternoon and I laid in the grass finishing up Cursed Child...which I thought was AMAZING! I absolutely need to get to London see the play now!

glw , I saw the FB post of the flowers & wine - he is definitely a keeper! And congrats on being nearly done with school, that's great! Sorry to hear about the devastation with the flooding. We know about that down here, and I wouldn't wish that destruction anyone. My thoughts are with all of those affected.
duff , I'm sure your students appreciated the freebie and realize it wasn't your fault. I'm sure the first-timers will be back and hopefully everything runs smoother next time.
My weekend was okay. Friday night we went out to see a friend's band play. A couple of my local friends were supposed to go and bailed at the last minute, but whatever. The H and I went anyway and had fun dancing, drinking, & smoking out with all the band members.
Saturday I worked a wine promo in the afternoon, then afterwards proceeded to drink all the leftover wine that I brought home from that. One of the bottles was a $50 bottle of red that would normally be wayyyy out of my price range (for normal weekend drinking), so I was particularly excited about trying that one.
I never really left the house on Sunday, but the H did all the grocery shopping so I ended up cooking, doing the routine cleaning, and some of the yardwork.
This upcoming weekend we don't have too much going on, but the next weekend is going to be a super busy one (3 shows in 3 nights!).
glw how exciting you are almost done!! Sad to hear about the flooding though.
Weekend was good, my dad changed the oil and replaced the rotors on my car, so it's good as new. We got some loungers for the backyard and did a lot of relaxing.
MH's 40th birthday party is this Saturday, and I was trying to shop to prepare this weekend. I felt like I was just wondering around with no purpose. I have no theme in mind! Food and alcohol will be the theme I guess!
Weekend was good. I left the office early on Friday and went to the gym - I hadn't been there in months. Trying to get back into a routine.
Saturday night I tried out a new distillery with a friend. It's in a super-cute town with lots of restaurants and wine bars, but it poured (not like GLW's experience, thankfully) and we got pretty soaked. We grabbed dinner in town afterwards and hung out.
Sunday S and I went to the Movie Tavern to see the new Bourne movie. So good - I want to see it again, I feel like I missed some things. Then just putzed around at home the rest of the day.
Tomorrow night I'm meeting S in Cleveland (he's attending a conference Wed/Thurs), THEN Thursday afternoon we're driving to South Bend and have a football tour at Notre Dame on Friday! I'm so stinkin' excited! Later that day we're heading to Chicago to spend the rest of the weekend there, fly home Sunday night.
glw, Congrats on almost being done with grad school! That is terrible about the flooding. One of my sorority sisters is a reporter up there, so I was watching her reports. So sad
My weekend was good. DH and I finished Whole30, and went out to celebrate lol Then we're going to try to keep doing what we did, so we don't totally undo what we've accomplished. He lost over 24 lbs and I only lost 7. Not fair! lol
