bl , I've been testing out the new UD foundation this week too, and while I like it I don't know if I love it.
The coverage is SO good, SO GOOD!...I barely need any concealer.
I don't find that it keeps oil at bay though. I am shiny only a few hours into wearing it. The makeup stays in place and doesn't slide at all, so that's a plus at least. I need to blot/powder a few times a day like I do with any other foundation, so in that respect the UD is really no different for me.
I wore this foundation the rest of last week and most of the weekend then switch back to my beloved MUFE Mat Velvet +, and have come to the conclusion that I don't like the UD one. The coverage is definitely better, but on my skin it just doesn't wear as well as the MUFE or EL Double Wear Light does. I can build up the coverage on those two just fine and might need to blot once throughout an entire day compared to several times with the UD one and it makes my pores around my nose look HUGE.

Storm cloud is the disappointing color in the Totally Cute palette. It's just fine. It had potentially to be more but didn't quite get there. From pan to eye, it's different and I think that's what is disappointing. On my eye it is a gray-brown. In the pan it is this wild blue-brown-gray mix.

After wearing it for a full week, I think it's ok, but it's not HG status and I'm not likely to repurchase since I have other foundations that work better for me overall. AND, I think the UD one is breaking me out womp womp

I'm on a skin care/makeup no-buy until October. Did I already mention that here?
It's killing me.
I'm on a no buy until the new urban decay palette comes out. I can do it, I WILL do it! I have to considering how much I've spent on skincare in the last couple months thanks to the Asian skincare thread.
Although I have been eyeing that Tarte shape tape concealer... lol. Lucky for me Ulta and Sephora are both at the mall, which I hate visiting. The struggle is real though!

I'm trying to convince my H that I need a makeup table in our room (new house) but we used to have the dog's bed in that space. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. We'll see. I may have enough space in the bathroom (and a fabulous mirror) but I like the light in the bedroom. Decisions, decisions.
put them in the cart with any purchase and they go to $0.
I just got a while pile of stuff for my gym bag - the set of travel size it brushes, travel size set of pacifica body butters, a bunch of travel sized hair stuff (I'm in the market for a new conditioner so I grabbed a couple to try out) - along with the soap and glory highlighter and a repurchase of the mario badascu facial spray. Then both freebies above, some random Mario Badascu eye packette GWP and the bare minerals GWP in the PP's link.
eta: minus 3.50, total was $65ish, 211 points. Not my most impressive free stuff haul ever, but not bad.
Also don't forget ebates! It's only 3% today, but still. I always forget so I'm reminding people.

Darn, I didn't know about the 2 GWP you listed and I already placed my order. I have enough bronzers to last the rest of my life, so I guess I didn't really need that one anyway!

Arghhhh, that's so frustrating! I knew about the freebie GWP, but I couldn't remember them at the time of my purchase so I ordered anyway. Oh well!
Sephora has shit for codes right now. I wound up getting some hair oil yesterday to buy my CoverFX drops. But I also need some Fresh face oil, and I'm annoyed at how crappy the samples are.
Anyone ordered from Beautylish? I am thinking about trying the RCMA powder.
Several times! They're great to work with.
The RCMA powder didn't work for me. It's too white, and just made everything cakey.
That's good to know. I have pressed HD powder from NYX and when I use it, it's fine. I've had flash issues once. I was just wondering if I was missing something with the loose.

I SUCK at picking out lipstick. I'll pick up a color thinking it'll look good and it's either awful on me or the exact same color as my lips already. I'm awesome with everything else but lipstick eludes me.

Guys, I bought the TF/Nikki tutorials power of makeup set and wore it today. I love it. I highly recommend it and even got complimented on my makeup today.

i just got an email for 5x points on tarte from ulta, and still have the 3x points going from being platinum. off to see what tarte stuff i 'need', lol.

I was able to overcome this problem by finding a beauty blogger with coloring like mine. I only look at shades that flatter her, and from there I've been able to figure out which lipsticks will work for me. Save

I was debating getting some Tarte stuff because of this. I went to my Ulta cart several times yesterday to complete my purchase and couldn't do it! I can't believe I was able to exercise such restraint! I just bought a bunch of stuff earlier in the week (not Tarte) and that was the first makeup I had purchased since May, other than UD naked smokey when it was 1/2 price a couple of weeks ago. I credit it to Ulta apparently taking me of of their email list.
I kind of wanted to try the new concealer, but Tarte's colors are never right for me without mixing the fair and the light together.
I'm in France and I picked up one of these Sephora brand cushion blushes because it looked fun and I hadn't seen it before, but I figured I'd just not noticed them. Then I read up on them and we don't have them in the US! So of course that means I need to go get more.

Hi, Everyone! I took a break from the boards & makeup for the summer because I got kind of addicted to both. I've bought so much over the last year that I'll never use, I may have a sale. But I just ordered the new Guerlain concealer - 1st Sephora purchase in 3 months.

Yay, I'm glad you're back. Was hoping it was just a breather.

Which blogger?
Temptalia for everything but reds. Reds I've had to figure out on my own because most of them turn fuchsia on me. What she calls brick red (or what leans brown on her) will read as true red for me. It's going to be different for everyone, though, based on their coloring. Save

Glad to see you back! I was passing a Charlotte Tillbury counter the other day and thought of you. Happy to see that you're well and were just on a break. Save
