More DVC rental questions

I'm such a Disney newbie.

So I was going to go through a travel agent to make life easier, but all this talk of DVC rentals got me thinking. I have some questions though.

Can I still get Magic bands?
Does this affect my ability to book FPs? dining reservations?

How do you deal with no Mousekeeping? I guess other than messy bed sheets I just keep the room tidy enough? Can you still request extra towels/toiletries?

Are there any cons to DVC rental? 

ETA: Are Poly studios available to rent or just villas and bungalows? The search options are confusing me. I'm really only interested in DVC rental if I can swing the Poly studio.

I was trying to get a quote from DVC rental store, but Poly studios was not an option for my dates. I guess that means it's just not available during that time? Not interested in villas. So I was going to try Davids to see if it was an option, I'm just worried about the deposit without knowing all the pros and cons to rental DVCs.

ETA: So looked some more, it seems that DVC rental store doesn't offer Poly studios for rent, only villas. Anyone know if Poly studios are available through Davids?

Yes you will still get magic bands

Nope. You will put the confirmation # into MDE and be able to book as usual
Do I still get to use the Magic Express (bus from the airport to the resort)?
Yes. HOWEVER the renter has to book this for you, so make sure you request it.

Ok, so technically they are supposed to charge you for extra towels. I always slip the mousekeepers I see in the hall some cash and get whatever I need off the cart. In addition, I take towels to my room from the pool. I ALWAYS pack 1 pool towel and 1 face cloth per a person. Because Disney face cloths SUCK and the pool towels are tiny. 

IF you are in a 1 bedroom or larger you will have W/D in your room. You can always throw in a load of towels at night.

That's odd that it isn't even an option for a quote. I have worked with both David's and DVC rental store many times and have had nothing but good service. If you tell me your dates I can tell you what's available at Poly.

Oh one other tip. SOME brokers will NOT book the dining plan for you ( because of issues with renters and possible credit card fraud etc) If you want it make sure your broker will allow the renter to book it AND make sure you can pay for it with gift cards or pay pal or something else.

Waiting on a response from DVC rental store now.

I own DVC and have rented my points through David's AND rented points for myself through both David's and DVC rental store AND from a friend. Awesome and easy process.

I got a reply already from DVC rental, and they have availability! This is very exciting!

Another question, if you don't mind.  Looks like I have the option of buying my park tickets through them as well. Seems like the same price as buying through Disney. Does it matter?

I have never bought my tickets through them, so I don't know how it works. Some people use Undercover Tourist to save a few dollars. Here is a link to a post with ALL the info on tickets. link

Most things can be charged to the MB. I think to buy a balloon we had to go to a nearby vendor if we wanted to pay with the MB.
