Do people still wear quilted and/or puffer vests?

I mean, when it's not 112° outside? I don't have a vest but have wanted one forever. Was thinking about ordering one. Maybe in black or camel?

I still have some that I plan on wearing if I ever decide to stop wearing my ponchos. Ponchos are like a blanket I can wear out of the house. And well, since I'm always cold, they make sense. Kind of. To me anyway. To DH? I just look like a crazy person.

I think they're very classic and not really a trendy piece rat will look dated...at least not the solid, thinner quilted versions. I have black, red, navy and white stripe, red and black buffalo plaid and of course the herringbone tweed....but I need a new one of those, mine is a thicker version from the target juniors section a few years ago.

I think they are a classic. As long as the rest of your clothes aren't heavy, I think it's versatile and can be worn with a lot.

Thanks, y'all. I thought this would be a good time of year to get one on ebay or posh while most people are still thinking summer clothes. I have wanted one for several years. I'll post whatever I end up ordering. callmehales, that's helpful - I'll look for the thinner type rather than the very puffy kind.

How do you feel about this, in navy? I'm reluctant to shell out for a J Crew one because I don't know if I'm going to like wearing a vest.

I love wearing vests because my armpits get sweaty in real coats. So a vest is the perfect layer for me. I own about 6 puffy vests...I bought a leopard print one last fall

I love them! Costco has some really cute down vests on sale for $14.
I think vests are a great item to skimp on (vs. splurge.)

I have one from old navy that's a little too puffy, one from Banana Republic that's perfect, J Crew Factory, and Cabi (which is an at home sales company and I loooove their clothes). Costco usually has thin ones as well.
