I went through Stella's bins and found tons of fall leggings in 12-18, so that's awesome. She has sometops that coordinate as part of playsets, a few dresses (comfy cotton ones that are good for everyday), three coats (wtf I don't know how that happened). I need some more fall tops and fall shoes for her though that would coordinate with her leggings. And maybe a cardigan or two.
What are you getting for fall? I am on the lookout.
I always think Gap has cute fall stuff. We don't really need anything else because Joanna hasn't grown much in 2 years and E can wear HMDs. I'm just buying random unnecessary but cute stuff I see on consignment and the BST boards.
I bought a super cute chambray dress off the BST board from gap. I always forget about gap but just checked and they have a great neutral Peter Pan color top that would go with a lot. I might need that.
DD is all set, really. We are going shoe shopping this week and she will need a new rain coat and jacket.
Beyond that there are a few things I want for her at Gymboree and Target but I'm waiting for better sales and/or coupons.
At some point I will probably give in and order the science tee shirts from Peek.
But really her fall/winter bin from last year is in perfect shape and she's still the same size. She has been in a size 6 for three years now, lol. It's great for not needing new things but I'm tired of looking at it.
ETA: She mostly wears dresses and leggings in the fall/winter. Sort of like how in the summer she mostly wears dresses and cartwheel shorts. She will mix it up with jeggings and tee shirts in the fall atleast.
I bought a bunch of gorgeous HMD for DD2 from a friend - mostly boden and next. I picked up a couple things for DD1 during the nordstrom sale, and have some stuff in my ON cart for her too. She's really into slouchy shirts and sweaters right now, so it will be mostly that with leggings. Haven't figured out back to school shoes for her yet though. She really wants ballet flats but her heels are so narrow that it's really hard to find shoes that stay on her feet.
Dd1 is in school uniforms so I can't buy much I did get three science tees from Peek and hope to get her a pair of soft jeans she'll wear. Even her jacket from last year still fits! I will also get her a hoodie or fleece in school colors that she can wear to school with short sleeves.
Dd2 gets hand me downs.
Edit: I'll get DD2 a rain jacket, probably Hatley brand.
I just picked up a few tees and leggings at Target today. I'm sure once I pull out fall I may still have a few gaps as far as coordinating tops and bottoms though. DD has a few cute casual dresses and sweater dresses. So maybe a couple more things and lots of socks and I think we are set for fall!

We have the same shoe issue, and have been able to get around it by finding flats with a strap across the top, but those are getting harder and harder to find in her size as she gets older.
Well, DD has a full wardrobe in size 5 already so I don't plan to buy much. She lives in dresses and leggings for as long as possible. I do have some Gap skinny jeans for when it's just too cold for that.
I will need to buy her a pair of riding boots for this year. But she already has her snow boots and SKR sneakers ready to go.

Most of DD's stuff from last year still fits. I bought her some treggings from H&M that fit great and I may get her a pair of jeans from there as well, since they fit the best. I wish I had discovered the H&M kids stuff sooner, they have some adorable stuff. We'll go school shopping for new athletic shoes, boots and dress shoes, and probably a few more cardigans. She'll find a few things she loves so I'll end up buying those too.
All of DS's pants and long sleeved shirts are too short--which sucks, because when I go up a size he freaks out because he doesn't like "floppy" clothes. I did find the slim size jeans from Children's place fit him great. So I'll buy a few pairs of those and some long sleeved shirts and some new shoes. He also needs a new jacket.
For DD-- Light jacket, heavier coat, pink leggings, navy leggings, striped shirts, chambray shirts, chambray dress, neutral metallic shoes that aren't sandals or sneakers, a few cardigans, long sleeved dresses, and uggs.

Since DS only wears sweatpants I'm going to find him some cute jogger type ones.
Then he'll need a fall jacket and a few more character tees I'm sure although I'd love to have him wear some flannel and jeans.
Poor DD will be wearing bright colored carters for Target, some random Gymbo, and a few things off the BST board. I had all these visions of cute baby clothes but I'm too lazy/cheap/indifferent this fall I guess.
DD4 i bought a bunch of monogrammed polo dresses for school. I got a navy blue cable knit cardigan and a first day of school outfit (navy blue shirt/white & navy stripe skirt with eyelet edging) all from Gap. Also bought a few pairs of leggings. Now on the lookout for super cute occasional outfits. I might buy her a tiny uniform jumper for school mass days (totally not required but I want to). Think she's set as far as tennis shoes but I'm on the look out for a couple pairs of school shoes.
My feelings exactly. 103 in my home city today. This is why the Nordstrom anniversary sale is always a bust for me. I can't get in the "fall boots" and sweater mindset yet.

ijack, can you get some of the heel pads for her flats? I had some in some flats because of blister issues and it helped keep my flats on too.
DS1 may actually be ready to move up a size (FINALLY!) and so I need to see what the stash looks like for 8 and take him shopping. He finally has an opinion on clothes, which sucks because the opinion is "I want to wear gym clothes everywhere" and I hate that look.
DS2 will hopefully not move sizes mid-season again, but I'm counting on it. I need to investigate his stash too, but I love the little raglan shirts on him.
DD probably has TONS of clothes, because I can't stop myself, but I really love the little jumpers with tights. She's finally walking so maybe she can actually wear them this year and not be a hinderance to her movements.

yeah DD1 is 8 and refuses to wear mary jane's
I meant shoes more like these (which I don't consider mary janes)-but as they go up in size they typically lose the straps after size 13.

I don't really do a true back to school shopping yet. But I got dd about 5 tops and leggings from Macy's this weekend. I really liked their Epic Trends (I think) fall stuff and I had a coupon. Both kids still pretty much fit into their early spring clothes, so I think we're good until Christmas.
I haven't bought much although I did grab some of the circo jeggings in the next size up for less than $2 each. However I think DD still fits pretty solidly in 4T, especially gymbo stuff since it runs big.
She'll be able to keep wearing her 4T tshirts through much of the fall with a jacket or sweater over top on cooler days.
I want to get some Cat and Jack stuff once it is out and there is a sale. Once baby sister is here there will be coordinating outfits to plan for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
