Good morning ladies! Been a long time lurker and finally have a reason to come out of hiding
I was invited to a fashion show luncheon this Friday that is part of the festivities for a largely known event this weekend. The luncheon begins at noon. The dress code just states "Come dressed to impress" on the invitation. I have a dress and shoes very similar to the ones linked. Is this ok to wear, or am I way overdressed? I don't have a lot of time to shop, and a budget of around $100 if I need to buy something new. Thanks for your help!
Does the event have a Facebook album with photos from the past events that you can check out?
The dress and shoes are great and IMO totally appropriate, but the thing that's giving me pause is the luncheon part. That maybe a more daytime look would be better.
You could ride the line by adding a great blazer to the dress (remove if you need to), and changing the shoes to something like a brightly colored pump.

The only photos I've seen are of the actual models. Some of the attendees are in the background, but it's hard to see what they're wearing. I love the idea of a colored pump. Thanks!
