I'm having a hard day

So my best friend (and my closest friends) are all Latino gay men. They play on a soccer team that I have cheered for, for ages. Today it was found out that one of the players, who I know but not well, took his own life. I'm shattered. I feel awful for all who were close to him, but he was so similar to my friends I worry they have the same issues they aren't sharing. He was such a bright light and it's so so so sad. Thanks all! It's just so awful. My friends are showing such strength. It's actually quite lovely that they've all decided to focus on good memories of their friend and not be totally sad.

Oh @pdx18, I'm so so sorry!! I know how close you are to that friend and community. I know everyone has their own internal struggles, it's impossible to know what they were going through. Grief is a strange beast. You may not have been super close to that person, but it can still hit you hard. I totally understand that.
