My weekend was unexpectedly good! I thought I'd have to work, so we didn't make any plans...when it turned out I didn't, there was suddenly a whole, free weekend in front of me!
Friday I taught a hot yoga class and wound up hanging out at the studio until the next class started. I'm hoping to get to know some of the other teachers better, and this girl and I totally hit it off. Mike and I met up at the tap room for some beer and sushi afterwards.
Saturday, we got up early planning to go on a quick, no more than 2 hour hike, and ended up spending the entire day in the mountains. We found so many great camping spots and are hoping to get back up there with some friends in a couple of weeks. We were already more than half way to Colorado, and almost went up there, but we'll be in Durango in a couple of weeks, so settled for brewery stops in a couple of other little towns before going home.
Sunday, I taught brewery yoga and hung out at the tap room for a bit. We're on a financial lock down now, so we stocked up on groceries, went home for dinner and some cleaning since the house got neglected all weekend.
Nothing big is happening this week...we're going to a winery bike tour on Saturday, so I'm just trying to get a hitch installed on my car so I can buy a bike rack. I'll be excited come Saturday when I have an easy way to transport bikes!
Oh, and since I'm a total AW, I just throw this here...I managed to get tickets to see the Harry Potter play in London next year! I. Am. Beside. Myself.
Seriously, everything went wrong with me getting these tickets, and I still can't believe it happened! Now November 2017 just needs to hurry up!
My weekend was good-- Friday night I met G and friends at a bar and then we went to see a water ballet show. It is hilarious and kitschy and such a fun tradition in our city. Saturday morning we drove to our friends' house in PA and went river tubing. Beautiful day on the water with beers and friends = heaven! Got pizza for dinner and spent the night at their house. Sunday we drove home and did some stuff around the house and just relaxed.
I'm looking forward to our monthly neighborhood happy hour this Friday and then visiting my sister in Philly this weekend.

Friday I met up with an old childhood friend of mine who I haven't seen in over a year for dinner & drinks. We ended up practically closing down the restaurant but it was really nice seeing her for a bit.
Saturday I hit the road and met up with my Austin BFF at her new lake house to help them get everything ready for their first listing. She really put me to work, assembling IKEA furniture, washing towels & sheets, put contact paper in the kitchen cabinets & drawers, I even installed a new lock on a door (first time for that! LOL). I was there most of the day Sunday helping out, they were so glad to have my extra set of hands and I'm going to be appreciative of using that lake house at some point. I didn't get home until almost 9 pm and passed out while watching the Olympics.
This weekend is pretty packed for me, but I'm ready for all the fun. Friday night I am going with some friends & my mom to do one of those paint & sip things. I haven't done one before, so hopefully it will be fun even if my artistic talent isn't strong. Saturday we are going to see Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, & Disturbed, along with 4 other folks. Sunday I'm going to see Eve & Gwen Stefani with BFF. Monday (after work) going to a friend's house who is hosting a live concert for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. It's literally at her house in her living room, and I guess the band is doing that all over the country and her application got accepted to host the Houston show. I've never even heard of anything like this so I went ahead and bought a ticket to check it out even though this will make the 3rd show in a row for me. (hot)
OrangePixyStix , your upcoming weekend sounds AWESOME! And don't worry about your lack of artistic abilities. I've done those paint and sip things twice now, and they're so much fun! They really break the instructions down for you. I'll run back to my phone so I can post a picture of my last one.
I always say it's so unfair though because the times I've gone has been with M, who is a legit artist. I keep telling him that he needs to be blindfolded for the next one. LOL

ETA with the photo...
It ended up being really fun like you said! I like that the license plate up on your VW van says hogwarts, haha! That's a cute one. Below is how mine turned out (example on the left side, I'm holding my work of art on the right side).
The shows were great as well, although we had the crappiest weather and had to walk around in the rain. I'm definitely paying for seats next time we buy for this venue, since they do have covered seating areas, but it was still great to see some live bands on the cheap tickets. Gwen & Eve played some old-school jams and brought back so many old memories hearing their songs. I didn't realize this is Gwen's first tour in 7 years, she seemed to really enjoy herself and I think she sounded awesome! She even thanked the audience several times for braving the storms to be there with her.
Still have the indie show tonight, but thankfully it's INSIDE and much smaller so it shouldn't be as exhausting. Hope everyone else had some kickass weekends!
Weekend was so fun! I went to Vegas with my BFF, we drank way too much, got a lot of sun, did some shopping and I won money! It was awesome!
I am glad to be home now though, and I have this week off of my regular job, but am working pt doing some data entry work, so I am plugging away at that. I might take a day or two off from that.
