Our realtor just called to ask if we would be upset if our sellers take the big ol' Texas star metal inserts out of the front accent windows of the living room. I am so excited that they are not permanent, I can't contain my joy.
And they are also taking the big concrete Easter basket looking planter too. I can't get it to PIP. But wow, NMS.
It seems like they thought I was going to fight for these items. No, take them, please. And all the antlers, antique rifles, cowboy decor, etc...
Did you have to negotiate with your sellers about fixtures/stuff?
Our sellers would not negotiate beyond $500 off the listing price. After two counteroffers, we finally said, "okay, we'll pay list minus $500 if you leave the washer and dryer." They had the balls to counteroffer and say they wanted FULL list price if they were going to leave them. (I don't know WTF they cared, because they had been living in Baltimore for 2 years at this point and obviously had other laundry arrangements worked out.)
Both our REAs were so irritated with them for demanding that that they each took a $250 hit to their commission to shut them up and get the deal done.

haha...you should pretend like you want them and get them to knock a hundred bucks or so off the price. Because the house just won't be the same without the stars!

Our seller was deceased and the place was pretty much empty. We did get some lovely chili pepper printed curtains in the kitchen and about 40 small wheeled pallets in the attic -- we never could figure out what was up with that.

I know I was kind of kicking myself after the fact. I think I may have done a bit of a joyful gasp when she asked about removing their stuff that is SO not our taste. It is too funny that all these stories are about sellers thinking they are doing you some kind of favor leaving their junk...LOL
