We just put in the new floors and got the rug (light gray with navy and teal). Walls are a light Aqua green.
We bought a new lift top coffee table that is unfinished to replace the one shown. What color should we paint or stain it? If it's not espresso, we are open to painting the tv stand and towers to match.
Excuse the mess please. Also only had one light on for pics.

I think a weathered gray would go with the beachy theme -- maybe even a whitewash instead of a paint. I would leave the entertainment center alone, though.

Are your floors walnut? I think I would do a walnut stain to match and make it neutral with the floors (and your rug to stand out brightly against it) and then use furniture wax on it to protect it for potential spills.
A white or gray could look good also for that beachy feel, but I tried gray once with a friend's dresser and it was harder than just straight stain for me.

Yes walnut
I have a general finishes stain that would match. What kind of top coat does it need to protect it?

Some people use a spray polyurethane, but I prefer furniture wax or finishing wax. You can put it on with oil cloth and then use the oil cloth to rub it until it shines and is smooth to touch.
I'll have to look and see what kind we use. It's a beeswax based one, I think, but it has a little solvent in with it to spread more easily and then you rub it until it shines and is worked into the finish of the furniture. The solvent vaporizes and then you are left with a shiny finish.
I wouldn't go dark with it. I would go for something light that won't stand out so much from the rug, so that it keeps it light. dr.girlfriend is on to something.
Don't worry about matching the other wood tones. It is much more interesting and can be more inviting and comfortable if you mix finishes.
