I work for a small firm and every year we take group photos to put on our website. Every single year I wear a black dress and this year I want to change it up a bit. It is a very formal office but I don't have to wear a suit. Can you think of something conservative to wear that is formal enough but not a black dress or suit? Bonus for visuals
Any solid color dress that is flattering to your coloring would do. I would avoid a busy pattern. I've been eyeing this dress for work and I think it is a little more interesting than just plain black (while still conservative):
I would do a pretty solid color sheath and if you need it a blazer or cardigan. A dark purple (like the aubergine dress linked above) or royal blue or even a darker shade of red. I would stick to dark or jewel-toned colors, whatever you like and looks good.
