I am not sure if anyone would be interested, but we have a couple slots left in our memory maker share in November, we have 6 families, many of which are going on small trips. If you wanted to join us, let us know!

I'd like more details about this too. Our neighbors are going to Disney World the same week we are in October, and both of us are interested in the Memory Maker, but neither of us have pulled the trigger yet.
I have done it a couple times, you get together with families going the same time as you, and you create a disney account and purchase the memory maker. Then you add the others as family and friends on the account, and everyones pics are on there. We don't get enough pics to make it worth the $150, so usually split it with 3-5 families to make it cheaper.

We did it last year with 3-4 other families. If it's your neighbor... Basically you can use your Disney account to buy the memory maker. then you can "link" your neighbor as "friends" on your account and all their pics will show up on your account. Then you can each download the pics you want. Obviously your neighbors would give you the $$ for half of the memory maker package. Last year since it wasn't people we knew ( just ppl I found on a Disney group), the one girl created a "dummy" account on the Disney site just for the memory maker, so that we all didn't have access to each other's dining reservations and all that... But with neighbors you probably don't need to worry about that stuff...
Just adding that it was a little bit of a pita to sort through 3-4 other families pics to download ours...but worth it since we got a ton of pics for like $30-$40 :-)
do the days have to match perfectly? I'm going January 14 to the 20th. do I need to find someone with those exact dates?
No... I think it's within a month of your trip?? I was just in the group, I wasn't in charge lol so can't remember exactly. I just know it doesn't have to be the same exact week...

We are going November 7th-11th and I haven't pulled the trigger yet on the MM. I'm interested. Can you PM me the details?

Autumnfire...We'll be there the 3-8th. I've already bought my MM so if the other group doesn't work out, lmk and I'll happily split the one I already have. I've never heard of sharing....Good to know!!!

If you're okay with this I'm interested for sure!
I'm not sure how it works. Beeks can you explain the process? Can it be split even if they leave on the 8th and we continue until the 11th?
After doing some research it seems that all the MM does is give you the ability to download photos for up to 30 days after the first intial download. The only thing required for the MM to be available amongst parties (even those going at different times within that 30 day window) is to link MDE accounts.
I have seen however that the account holder of the MM is the only one who can download the photos. That was posted back in 2014 is this still the case? And if so how does one go about getting their family photos then if they've been added to the MM?

Okay so I've done some research and was able to put together how this is done and how it's possible.
1. Parties who are sharing must link their MDE accounts.
2. You can join someone's MM account even if you aren't traveling on the same dates up to 30 days after their first day on the Memory maker.
3. Photos expire 45 days after they were taken. The MM expires 30 days after the start date. So no matter what when you had your photos taken you'll have 45 days from that picture date before they expire.
4. Only the person who purchased the MM can download the files. (The other people will be able to view the photos (except for the rides) on their account and do edits, but their edits won't be available for download by the person with the MM entitlement.) The sharing families have the following options
a. the original MM holder gives the MM account information to the families so they can download their photos.
b. the original MM holder puts the photos on a flash drive and sends the photos.
c. MM holder puts the photos up on an online sharing site for the family to access.
5. You cannot do any special edits to the photos and download them unless you are the MM account holder. If you aren't the MM holder and wish to download any edits you make to the online photo you'll have to pay for each downloaded edited image. (So it's just better to have the MM holder do the edits for you or to have that direct access)
6. The first day you are at the park have each individual in your party scan their band at a different photographer. Then double check that each band is properly connected. This way if there's an issue it can be addressed right away.
7. Ride photos are only visible to the MM account holder.
To activate the MM on someone elses MDE account you have to do the following. 1. Invite them as a friend
2. Check the box "View and purchase your photopass photos"
