I had one after my c-sec with DS1. I didn't see your post in the randoms, otherwise I would've told you your symptoms sounded exactly like mine. Hugs, it's scary, but I'm glad you went in and it was caught.
Outpatient treatment with Lovenox is just as effective as in patient treatment with IV Heparin. If they want you to stay in the hospital, it definitely shouldn't be for longer than 24 hours, but I'd push a little, explain you have a brand new newborn at home that you're breastfeeding, etc. I only had to be there long enough that they made sure I knew how to inject myself with the Lovenox.
After the Lovenox I was transitioned to Coumadin (a tiny pill, take twice a day) and then was on it for 3 months. They checked my INR every 3-ish days (small town, travel wasn't a problem) to make sure my dosage was where it needed to be.
Again, hugs, but I'm glad it's been caught and you're being taken care of!! If you have any questions, ask away.

I will probably have millions of questions so I will pm you at some point. Thank You.

I just saw you're having lots of swelling. When is your next appt with your doc? I had a lot of swelling after my c-sec with DS1 (when I threw my pulmonary embolism) and my doc put me on Lasix for just a day or so to help the swelling flush. It's a diuretic, safe for breastfeeding (same as your other upcoming blood clot meds!), and really helped my swelling go down. If you still have the swelling, maybe ask your doc about something for it?
Also, I know it's really hard. We lived near H's family but that wasn't all that comforting, lol. Otherwise I was all alone, too. I don't know if this kiddo was your last, but in case you're worried about your future after having these clots, just know that I've had completely uncomplicated pregnancies and births with DS2 and DS3, and so far the same is true with this pregnancy with DS4. I've also had weightloss surgery without any problems. As soon as you say you've had a PE, doctors ears perk up, but it's something that is very manageable.
So many hugs!! And yes, if you have questions, ask away! I am more than happy to do whatever I can to help or provide a bit of comfort in a "I've been there" sort of way. I hope you're feeling ok now and are able to relax. Hopefully your c-sec recovery is going well otherwise!
So many hugs. I just got out of the hospital and had fluid in my lung cavity. I couldn't breathe without oxygen and it was so scary. I was in ICU for 10 days. They ended up draining almost 4 liters of fluid. I also had Ladix and Heprin which all helped. I had that loud awful oxygen as well.
In so sorry you are going through this. Take care of yourself so you can be healthy for DH and the kids. Hugs.
