Now that they allowing booking extra FP+ on your phone, what is the best strategy for Magic Kingdom. Booking morning ones in hopes there will be some left to book extra rides in the afternoon? Or booking them for the afternoon when lines are longer? Our first day we plan on starting in Tomorrowland in the morning and moving onto Fantasyland in the afternoon. We are going the week before Thanksgiving and it looks like average crowd levels (4-6's).
Or I guess, should we start at Fantasyland and move onto Tomorrowland instead? I'm trying to limit walking due one person in our party having limited walking abilities.
We had a lot of luck with 4th+ FP last week. I would start in Tomorrowland and FP Space, Speedway, and 7DMT, or maybe Peter Pan. A lot of the Fantasyland are available for later- princesses, dumbo, barnstormer, small world.

We're going to try and do 9-10,10-11 and 11-12 and then see what we can get for the 4th FP. My kids are fine riding dumbo, tea cups and the carousel for hours so if we end up without any good availability in the afternoon for extra fastpasses, it would be fine.

I'd FP Mine Train and Peter Pan for sure in Fantasyland so start there. You can fill in with Little Mermaid, Tea cups, etc while waiting for your next fastpass to open.
I'm so bummed that BTMR is closed while we are there. We had a hard time figuring out what to use our third FP for at MK for two adults.
Splash, Space and 7DMT? Or just book 2 and then immediately book a 3rd at another park once you've used your first 2? We got RnR, Soarin, TT, and TSMM as later FP last week, I was shocked.

That's good to know! I was wondering if any were actually available.

It is supposed to open up our very last day. I have no clue if they usually finish on schedule, but I hope so. My kids can't go on it, but I want to lol

It will probably have soft openings for most of your trip as well. Check whenever you are near it.
We were there in mid-June. Maybe it was random luck or because of everything happening in Orlando around that time, but we were honestly getting 6+ FP/day. The only ride I couldn't get more than one for was Seven Dwarves Mine Train. We booked ours right away in the morning because my kid is 2 and we wanted to avoid any and all lines. It worked really well for us.
If we think DS would love the parade, but standing around waiting on parades forever so DS gets a good view is our idea of hell, is the parade FP a good choice for us? Or should we just skip it and try to get him a peek as it goes by? He will be 18 months, so while he would love the parade, I'm not sure he'd love staying for the whole thing.

We walked right up last December 5 minutes before 3 and got a spot on the circle.

We went to Hollywood studios last Wednesday and I was able to get fast passes for everything we wanted with less than 24 hours notice. I did our top 3 for the morning, then once the 3rd one was used a was able to book the next one for about 2 hours later. Then used that and got the next one for an hour later. After number 5, toy story and rockin roller coaster were booked up and we couldn't do those again but everything else was wide open until the park closed. I was pleasantly surprised.
Last trip we did morning FP+, figuring we would try to get a4th later. I kind of hated it because we felt like we were rushing all morning. This trip I'm shooting for afternoon FP. We will do stand by in the morning when the lines at shorter. I don't care much about getting a 4th one later.
this is our plan as well. I think the mornings will be more relaxed if we can pick and choose what we want to do based on lined. we will mainly stay in fantasyland in the morning where hopefully the lines won't be so bad.
