There will be 4 adults (us and my parents) and our two kids (will be 5 and 2). We are going the first week of May. I've narrowed down to 3 choices.
AoA suite- love the theming for the kids, not as great location and smaller beds, cheaper BLT 1 bedroom suite- better location, W/D would be great, looks boring though Wilderness lodge villa-nice in between for theming and location, construction doesn't look too bad but might be ongoing
We all love the idea of the theming of AoA but hesitate because of the other amenities. Thoughts? What would you pick?
***UPDATED OPTIONS:*** Okay, based on your advice here are the new options. According to DVC availability they would all be similarly priced. My family loves the idea of Wilderness theming and I added Beach Club based on price and pool. Would you still pick BLT?
BLT 2 bedroom villa WL 2 bedroom villa Beach Club 2 bedroom villa
BLT or WL. Another option is 2 studios - often cheaper than a one bedroom. No kitchen, but still plenty of space and separation.
Can you get connecting though? I'm not worried about separation from my parents, but I do want somewhere to close the door when the kids go to bed.
We will be doing everything with my parents. If we separate at all, they will have our kids like in the evenings so I want to make sure we are together.

I don't think so. You would have better luck getting connecting regular rooms. I don't know...unless you are in bed at 6pm overnight you might have enough togetherness. SaveSave

Haha. I just mean that since they would have our kids anyway I'd like to make sure our rooms are together. Our kids do better with no break and an early bedtime after which I don't mind being in the same room as everyone because DH and I will likely be zoning out on our phones or go out while my parents will go to sleep early.
We lived with my parents for a year pre-kids so I'm not worried! But based on the DVC quotes we could do a 2-bedroom, which should help.

My kid is OBSESSED with BLTs. Which is strange because the theming isn't super kid friendly. He LOVES watching the monorails from the balcony while eating his breakfast and counting how many of each color we see. Also he loves the sky bridge to the Contemporary and watching the monorails there too.
If you have a kid who is into transportation they might LOVE it there.

Well, DS2 is currently obsessed with trains so I bet a monorail would thrill him!
Oooh, good update. I love the Beach Club, but I might still lean toward BLT only because you'll probably spend the most time at Magic Kingdom and the monorail is so convenient. How much pool time do you think you'll have? If it's a decent amount, go with BC.
