S/O fall - what fall trends are you *not* excited about?

I have to admit I'm not too excited about the return of bootcut jeans. I just FINALLY jumped on the skinny jean wagon! When I see pics of models wearing bootcut or flares, they look dated to me. But I guess I am in the minority, b/c I am seeing them everywhere.

Other trends I'm not digging include chunky heels, choker necklaces, cropped shirts, and floral dresses (some are beautiful, but many are not).

Basically I'm pissed that the 90's are back

Choker necklaces, definitely. Also, maybe this isn't new, but the ankle-length or just-slightly-cropped jeans. They look weird to me.

I don't know enough about what other things are coming for fall. But please please let those peplum things be gone.

Choker necklaces for sure. And I can't get on board with the big, baggy, oversized winter coats.

Oh, I adore peplum! Done right I think it's a classic look.

But I don't care for the sloppy, shapeless peplum tees. They need more structure.

I like an ankle-length skinny jean but I've recently seen some crops that are just...unimaginable.  Case in point:

Ditto.  All the chokers, flares, and chunky heels meh meh meh meh!  The flares and bootcut just don't look as polished as a slim or skinny leg to me.  So I'll guess I'll be out of style rocking my slim and skinny pants.

It's so hot that I can't even think of fall stuff w/o breaking into a sweat. I don't even know what you guys are talking about b/c I'm trying to wear all the stuff from summer clearance. I love sales!

Ugh to all the chokers. I hate this trend.

On the same line as awkwardly cropped jeans, I am not a fan of the frayed hem jeans. I don't get them and, generally speaking, I love distressed denim.

Speaking of chokers, this picture from jane.com today reminds me of that scary kid story where a girl wears a green ribbon around her neck for years, and someone finally unties it and her head falls off.  No one? Ugh, apparently I will be saving a lot of money, because I basically hate everything. I hated the 90s fashion then, and I loathe it now. Body suits? Barf. I was in Urban Outfitters Friday and you could not pay me to wear anything in there. Luckily I WFH so I do not get dressed much anymore. :-P
