Friday!

Took my dad to his surgery yesterday.  It was moved up, so we had to leave our house at 5:15 and we got home around 2.  As much as getting up that early sucked, at least we got home before the traffic through Federal Way turned into the nightmare that it did last night.  I know alias was stuck in it big time, and I really hope that kwpnjumper55 didn't have to work last night or she would have probably missed her whole shift because of that dumb back up.  So, I guess I'm thankful for how the day panned out.  

I don't know what we are going to do today.  I kind of want to do nothing, but it's going to get hot in here, so I don't know if we can keep from going to Target or something.  Right now, we have all the windows open trying to get the cool morning air in here.

Tman has an all day youth group activity tomorrow.  James is working nights, so he will probably be opposite of us all weekend.  

I need to clean the bathrooms.  I can maybe get one in without waking up James.

Writing an SOP this morning and that's basically all the work I've done this week.  Back to the grind next week, though.

Have a great weekend everyone.  No news of heat stroke, please.

Open house tonight at my studio. Nothing really on the schedule for this weekend for me.

Good morning. I have nothing exciting. I might go out and let the kids play in the pool before it gets too hot out. Besides that the only plan is keeping myself sane and the kids occupied while not getting heat stroke. So we shall see how it plays out.

I enjoyed a quiet night in last night. I was supposed to go to the Baby Goats & Brews event at Reuben's in Ballard last night, but we decided to skip it. It sounded like it was going to be a bit too crazy for my liking.

I'm waitressing tonight, then the fella is coming over. We're heading to Friday Harbor tomorrow. It's supposed to be 12 degrees cooler up there... that sold us on the day trip. Haha. Should be fun. He's never been. Nothing on the agenda for Sunday. The fella is a huge Timbers fan, so we'll probably go watch the game somewhere Sunday. He wanted to go, but I didn't really want to spend the money, and he didn't want to go alone. So... watching it somewhere it is.

I'm struggling to stay motivated at work today. Ugh. I have a ton of work to do. I just don't wanna do any of it!!

Im going out for lunch just me and my dad mymom is coming over later for a cooking lesson and movie. Im taking a break from the sun today as ill be outside all day tomorrow. I wanted to go for a decent run today but my legs are dstill sore from paddleboarding on wed. Maybe by later this afternoon theyll be loosened up, legs are starting to look toned N tan, yay!

Had counseling last night, was a bit emotional since I was talking about all the crap with my dad. H and I went out to dinner somewhere air conditioned and bonus, leftovers enough for dinner tonight. I had bad night sleep, woke myself up screaming around 5am. o.o Then more bad dreams with these little hamster pet things that were trying to sit on my chest while I carried them, and sometimes slipped into my pants (huh?) and their pokey little paws kept pricking me. H apparently didn't fall asleep until 4 am (so he slept through my screaming? wow!) so he's going in late or not at all. Meanwhile, my throat was itching when I got up and started a coughing fit after my shower. I was hoping it was allergies but the itch wasn't going away so I sucked on a cough drop and then took a drink and my throat burned. The yuck H has been battling all week started with a sore throat. I'm crossing my fingers extra hard that it's allergies (my ear canals are itching too, which happens with allergies) even though I've been taking my Allegra all week.

We're hoping to go find Star Trek still playing somewhere on Saturday as we haven't seen it yet and I want to see it in a theater. Sunday we're going to the game. Mostly just hoping to stay kinda cool somehow, especially if I'm getting sick I'll need lots of sleep and rest.

Okay, and Sounders have had a crappy season so converting him will take a little more time than usual. Even so, better to watch the game somewhere (at home? down in Portland?) rather than at the stadium  I jest, he'd mostly only get nasty looks and grumbles and have to hear a lot of "eff you rose city" songs.

Happy Friday!

We're having a birthday party for B tomorrow with the IL family (yay, more IL time and people in my house - gag), but it should be fun.

We've been sans kids for the last few days and it's been nice to not have to worry about much and eat fun adult food and play video games.

It needs to stop being so hot.
