Weekend plans?

What do you have going on this weekend??

We don't really have any plans this weekend besides taking A for an eye exam tomorrow morning and possibly joining in J's parents yard sale.

NOT WORKING. OMG I'm ready to pull my hair out.

Tomorrow we're going to an amusement park with the boy, it should be fun. My wife's work reserves the whole park and we get in free, which is awesome, and perfect for his first trip to a park since we won't be out anything other than a drive if he doesn't like it or has a bad day or we need to leave early, and since we won't really be able to ride many (if any) of the adult rides.

I think my wife is working OT on Sunday, but I'm not positive. I might take the boy to the zoo or the conservatory or something, I don't know. I should probably check the weather forecast...

There is nothing on the agenda this weekend. I'll likely try to meet up with my friend for a playdate with the kiddos but that's all I've got.

Tonight going to dinner with L and the kids.

Saturday L is going to write for the weekend. No idea what the kids and I will do. I need to take a bunch of stuff to the donation center - perhaps I will cull my closet before going. If it isn't too hot and muggy perhaps we'll go to a new playground. I am reading Willy Wonka to them, so perhaps some reading and/or a trip to the library. I wish the pool was still open. In the evening, we are going to the birthday party for a kid who was in their class last year.

Sunday it is supposed to be beautiful out. I am thinking I will take the kids on a hike. I need to take their bikes to the bike place to get their training wheels taken off (I tried to do it, but the bike place put them on so tight that I broke the wrench.) We also need to hit up the grocery store for stuff for their lunches.

I am really not looking forward to weekends alone again. Boo.

Ahem....please let me pause for a moment while i gawk at the pic of Mariska Hargitay in a bra...thanks Two. I couldn't get my pic of Mariska (that I also spent too long looking for) to post.

Tonight I'm meeting friends for dinner at a restaurant near a favorite beach in the city. Should be a sunny gorgeous night and great fun with friends. After that I'm heading to A's to see her when she gets home from work.

Tomorrow/Sunday: the big highlight of the weekend is that A and I are going to a fundraising event for Brandi Carlile's foundation tomorrow night. I found out about the event too late to get tix but put myself on the waitlist. They called me Monday night and said they had 2 tix that had come avail. Though A thought for sure she'd be working all weekend, she managed to get the weekend off and we are going! It's at a great small venue in the city and the band will perform...should be a really awesome night. The rest of the weekend will be just chill time hanging out with A.

We're having brunch with some fellow DC ex-pats tomorrow morning. I think afterward we'll go for a walk at a park on the river that Jen hasn't been to. On Sunday I'm going to try to find us somewhere fun to go. Our friends with one baby (three weeks older than ours) go out and do so much fun stuff with him and we need to start doing that instead of acting like we can only go on walks with them. Then Sunday night my parents are watching the babies and we're having date night with another couple (sans our three babies!).

Today and Tomorrow work. Sunday cleaning bc I'm off for five days and my aunt is coming to visit yippee!

Tonight we are going to dinner at the Melting Pot for Carols birthday.

Tomorrow will just be spent catching up on stuff around the house.

Sunday we have an Irish Feis to go to. We are shopping for a school to start Annie in Irish dance - so we will get a chance to check them all out.

Sat: garage sale-ing, visitation with big sis (perhaps at an apple orchard), then house work.

Sun: menu planning, grocery shopping, bake pies, make fancy dinner, have family over for Grandparents day.
